mission  est  prononcée  par  les  deux  tiers  de  l'Asscmblée,
  pourvu  qu'’il  donne  des  garanties  effeclives
  de  son  intention  sincere  Tobserver  ses  engagements
  intornationaux  et  qu'il  accepte  le  règlement
  établi  par  la  Société  en  ce  qui  concerne  ses
forces  et  ses  armements  militaires,  navals  et
aériens.

Tout  Membre  de  la  Société  peut,  après  un
Dréavis  de  deux  ans,  se  retirer  de  la  Société,  à  la

condition  Tavoir  rempli  à  ce  moment  toutes  ses

obligations  internationales  y  compris  celles  du
présent  Pacte.

Arkicle  2.

T'action  de  la  Société,  telle  qu’elle  est  definie
dans  le  présent  Pacte,  s'exerce  par  une  Assemblée
ot  par  un  Conseil  assistées  d'un  Secrstariat  permanent.


Article  3.

L'Assemblée  se  compose  de  Représentants  des
Membres  de  la  Société.

Elle  se  réunit  à  des  é6poques  ßxées  et  à  tout
autre  moment,  si  les  circonstances  le  demandent,
au  siège  de  la  Société  ou  en  tel  autre  lieu  qui
pourra  etre  désigné.

L'’Assemblée  connait  de  toute  question  qui
rentre  dans  la  sphere  d’actirité  de  la  Société  ou
qui  allecte  la  paix  du  monde.

Chaque  Membre  de  la  Socisté  ne  peut  compter
plus  de  trois  Représentants  dans  IAssemblée  et
no  dispose  due  d’une  voix.

Article  4.

Le  Conseil  so  compose  de  Représentants  des
Principales  Puissances  alliées  et  associées,  ainsi
due  de  Représentants  de  quatre  autres  Membres
de  la  Société,.  Ces  quatre  Membres  de  la  Sociéclé
sont  désignés  librement  par  UAssembléo  ct  aux
éboques  qu’il  lui  plalft  de  choisir.  Jusqu'’dà  la  premidère
  désignation  par  MAssemblée,  les  Représentants
  de  la  Belgique,  du  Brésil,  de  I'Espagne  et
de  la  Grece  sont  Membres  du  Conseil.

to  by  two-thirds  of  the  Assembly,  provided  that
it  shall  give  effective  gunrantees  of  its  sincero
intention  to  observe  its  international  obligations,
and  shall  accept  such  regulations  as  may  be
Prescribed  by  the  League  in  regard  to  its  military,

naval  and  air  forces  and  armaments.

Any  Member  of  the  League  may,  akter  two
years'  notice  of  its  intention  so  to  do,  withdraw

from  the  League,  provided  that  all  its  international

  obligations  and  all  its  obligations  under
this  Covenant  shall  have  been  fulfilled  at  the
time  of  its  withdrawal.

Articele  2.

The  action  ol  the  Lengue  under  this  Covenant
shall  be  elfected  through  the  instrumentality  ok
an  Assembly  and  of  a  Council,  with  a  permanent.
Secretariat.

Article  3.

The  Assembly)  shall  consist  of  Representatives
  of  tbe  Members  of  the  Leaguc.

The  Assembly  shall  meet  at  stated  intervals
and  from  time  to  time  as  occasion  may  requiro
at  the  Seat  of  the  League  or  at  such  other  placo
as  may  be  decided  upon.

The  Assembly  may  deal  at  its  meetinge  with
any  matter  within  the  sphere  of  action  of  tho

„Leaguc  or  affecting  the  peace  ol  the  world.

At  moectings  of  the  Assembly  each  Member
of  the  League  shall  have  one  vote.  and  may  havo

not  more  than  three  Representatives.

Arktele  4.

The  Council  shall  consist  of  Representatives  of
the  Principal  Allied  and  Associated  Powers,  together
  with  Representatives  of  four  other  Members
  of  the  League.  These  four  Members  of  the
League  shall  be  selected  by  the  Assembly  from  timo
to  time  in  its  discretion.  Until  the  appointment
of  the  Representatives  of  the  four  Members  of
the  League  first  selectech  by  the  Assembl)y,
Reprosentatives  of  Belgium,  Brazil,  Spain  and
Greece  shall  be  members  of  the  Couneil.
