de  la  Socisté.  II  comprend  un  Seecrstaire  général,
ainsi  due  les  secrétaires  et  le  personnel  nécessaires.

Les  dépenses  du  Secrétariat  sont  supportées
par  les  Membres  de  la  Société  dans  la  proportion
éStablie  pour  le  Bureau  international  de  I  Union
Postale  universelle.

Le  siège  de  la  Société  est  Stabli  à  Gendve.

Le  Conseil  peut  à  tout  moment  deécider  de
Pétablir  en  tout  autre  lieu.

Toutes  les  fonctions  de  la  Société  ou  des  services
  qui  8°y  rattachent,  y  compris  le  Secrétariat,
  sont  é6galement  accessibles  aux  hommes  et
aux  femmes.

Les  Représentants  des  Membres  de  #a  Société
et  ses  agents  jouissont  dans  Dexercice  de  leurs
fonctions  des  privilèges  et  immunités  diplomatidues.


Les  bätiments  et  terrains  occupés  par  la  Socié
  e  ,  par  ses  serrices  ou  ses  réunions,  sont  inviolablos.

Arttele  6.

The  permanent  Seecretariat  shball  be  established
at  the  Seat  of  the  League.  The  Secretariat  shall
comprise  a  Secretary  General  and  such  secretaries
and  staff  as  may  be  required.

The  first  Secretary  General  shall  be  the
person  named  in  the  Anner;  thereafter  the  Seeretary
  General  shall  be  appointed  by  the  Council
with  the  approval  of  the  majority  of  the
Assembly.  6

The  secretaries  and  staff  of  the  Secreteriat
shall  be  appointed  by  the  Secretary  General  with
the  approval  of  the  Counecil.

The  Secretary  General  shall  act  in  that
capacity  at  all  meetings  of  the  Assembly  and  of
the  Council.

The  expenses  of  tbe  Secretariat  shall  be  borne
by  the  Members  of  the  League  in  accordance
with  the  apportionment  of  the  expenses  of  the
International  Bureau  of  the  Universal  Postal
Union.

Arktele  7.

The  Seat  of  the  League  is  established  at
Geneva.

The  Council  may  at  any  time  decide  that  the
Seat  of  the  League  shall  be  established  elsewhere.

All  positions  under  or  in  connection  with  the
League,  including  the  Secretariat,  shall  be  open
equally  to  men  and  women.

Representatives  of  the  Members  of  tbe
League  and  officials  of  the  League  when  engaged
on  tbe  business  of  the  League  shall  enjoy  diplomatic
  privileges  and  immunities-  »

The  buildings  and  other  property  occupied
by  the  League  or  its  officials  or  by  Representatives
  attending  its  meetings  shall  be  inviolable.

Article  8.
The  Members  of  the  League  recognise  that
the  maintenance  of  peace  requires  the  reduction
of  national  armaments  to  the  lowest  point
