toutes  dispositions  inscrites  en  sa  faveur  dans
los  Traités  des  8  février  1842,  2  avril  1847,
20-25  octobre  1865,  18  aoüt  1866,  21  février  et
11  mai  1867,  10  mai  1871,  11  juin  1872,  11  novembre
  1902,  ainsi  due  dans  toutes  Conventions
consécutives  auxdits  Traités.

L'Allemagne  reconnaft  que  le  Grand-Duché
de  Luxembourg  a  cesss  de  faire  partie  du  Zollverein
  allemand  à  dater  du  1er  janvier  1919,
renonce  à  tous  droits  sur  T’exploitation  des
chemins  de  fer,  adbere  à  Pabrogation  du  régime
de  neutralité  du  Grand-Duché  et  accepte  par.
avance  tous  arrangements  internationaux  conclus
Par  les  Puissances  alliées  et  associées  relativement
  au  Grand-Duché.

Arkicle  41.

L'Allemagne  s'’engage  à  faire  bénéficier  le
Grand-Duché  de  Luxembourg,  sur  la  demande
dui  lui  en  sera  adressée  par  les  Principales  Puis--sances
  alliées  et  associées,  des  avantages  et
droits,  stipulés  par  le  présent  Traité  au  profit
desdites  Puissances  ou  de  leurs  ressortissants,
en  matisères  6conomiques,  de  transport  et  de
navigation  aérienne.

SECTION  M.
RIVE  GCAUCHE  DU  REHIN.

Article  42.

I  est  interdit  à  l'Allemagne  de  maintenir  ou
do  construire  des  fortifications  soit  sur  la  rive
gauche  du  Rhin,  soit  sur  la  rive  droite,  à  POuest
d’une  ligne  tracée  à  50  kilomètres  à  1Est  de  ce
fleuve.

Article  43.

Sont  é6galement  interdits,  dans  la  zone  définie
à  PTarticle  42,  Pentretien  ou  le  rassemblement  de
forces  armées,  soit  à  titre  permanent,  soit  à  titre
temporaire,  aussi  bien  due  toutes  mancuvres
militaires  de  quelque  nature  du’elles  soient  et  le
maintien  de  toutes  facilités  matérielles  de  mobilisation.

and  May  11,  1867,  May  10,  1871,  Juno  11,  1872,
and  November  11,  1902,  and  in  all  Conventions
consequent  upon  such  Treaties.

Germany  recognizes  that  the  Grand  Duchy
of  Luxemburg  ceased  to  form  part  of  the  Gorman
Zollverein  as  from  January  1,  1919,  renouncos
all  rights  to  the  exploitation  of  the  railways,
adheres  to  the  termination  of  the  régpime  of  neutrality
  of  the  Grand  Duchy,  and  accepts  in  advance
  all  international  arrangements  which  may
be  concluded  by  the  KAllied  and  Associated
Powers  relating  to  the  Grand  Duchy.

Article  41.

Germany  undertakes  to  grant  to  the  Grand
Duchy  of  Luxemburg,  when  a  demand  to  that
effect  is  made  to  her  by  the  Principal  Allied  and
Associated  Powers,  the  rights  and  advantages
stipulated  in  favour  of  such  Powers  or  thbeir
nationals  in  the  present  Treaty  with  regard  to
economic  questions,  to  questions  relative  to
transport  and  to  aerial  navigation.

SECTITON  III.
LEFT  BANK  O  THE  RHINE.

Artiele  42.

Germany  is  forbidden  to  meaintain  or  construct
  any  fortifications  either  on  the  left  bank
of  the  Rhine  or  on  the  right  bank  to  the  west
of  a  line  drawn  50  kilometers  to  the  East  of  the
RBhine.

Article  43.

In  the  area  defined  above  the  maintenance
and  the  assembly  of  armed  forces,  either  permanently
  or  temporarily,  and  military  mandauvres
of  any  kind,  as  well  as  the  upkeep  of  all  permanent
  workse  for  mobilization,  are  in  the  same  way
forbidden.
