26  février  1871  et  du  Traité  de  Prancfort  du
10  mai  1871,  sont  réintégrés  dans  la  souverainetá
francaise  à  dater  de  TArmistice  du  11  novembre
1918.

Les  dispositions  des  Traités  portant  délimitation
  do  la  frontière  Avant  1871  seront  remises  en
vigucur.

Articke  52.

Lo  Gouvernement  allemand  remettra  sans

délai  au  Gouvernement  français  les  archives,
registres,  plans,  titres  et  documente  de  toute
nature  concernant  les  administrations  civile,
militaire,  financière,  judiciaire  ou  autres,  des
territoires  réintégrés  dans  la  souveraineté  françcaise.
  Si  quelqucs-uns  do  ces  decuments,  archives,
registres,  titres  ou  plans  avaient  6té  déplacés,  ils
seront  restitués  par  le  Gouvernement  allemand
sur  la  demando  du  Gouvernement  français.  “

Article  53.

Il  sera  pourvu  par  conventions  séparées  entre
la  France  et  TAllemagno  au  reglement  des
intéerèts  des  habitants  des  territoires  visés  à
Particlo  51,  notamment  en  ce  qui  concerne  leurs
droils  civils,  leur  Commerce  et  l'exercice  de  leur

prolession,  éCtant  entendu  que  DAllomagne  s'engage

  des  à  présent  à  reconnaitre  ct  accepter  les
rögles  fikéES  dans  IAnncxze  ci-jointe  et  concernant
la  nationalilc  des  habitants  ou  des  P’e#sohncs
originaires  desdits  territoires,  à  ne  rovendi.jucr
aucun  moment  ni  en  quelque  licu  qduc  ce  soit
zommo  ressortissants  allemands  eenx  quui  auront
It  déöclarés  françgais  à  un  titre  quelconque,  à
recevoir  les  autres  sur  son  territoire  et  à  se  conformer,
  en  co  qui  concerne  les  biens  des  nationaux
allemands  sur  les  territoires  visés  à  larticle  51,
aux  dispositions  de  Tarticle  297  et  de  I’Annexe
do  la  Section  IV,  Partie  X  (Clauses  économiques)
du  présent  Traité.

Ceux  des  nadlionnux  allemands  qui,  sans
obtenir  la  nationalité  française,  recevront  du

the  date  of  uihe  Armistice  of  November  11,

Tho  provisions  of  the  Treaties  establishing
the  delimitation  of  the  frontiers  before  1871
shall  be  rostored.

Artiele  32.
The  German  Government  shall  hand  over
without  delay  to  the  French  Government  all

archives,  registers,  plans,  titles  and  documents

of  every  kind  concerning  the  civil,  military,
financial,  judicial  or  other  administrations  of  the
territories  restored  to  French  sovereignty.  If  any
of  these  documents,  archives,  registers,  titles  or
plans  have  Deen  misplaced,  they  will  be  restored
by  the  German  Government  on  the  demand  of  tbe
Fronch  Government.

Arkicle  53.,

Separate  agreements  shall  be  made  between
France  and  Germany  dealing  with  the  interests
of  the  inhabitants  of  the  territories  referred  to
in  Article  51,  particularly  as  regards  their  civil
rights,  their  business  and  the  exercise  of  their
professions,  it  being  understood  that  Germany
undertakes  as  from  the  present  date  to  recognise
and  accopt  the  regulations  laid  down  in  tho
Annex  horeto  regarding  the  nationality  of  tho
inhabitants  or  natives  of  the  said  territories,
not  to  claim  at  any  time  or  in  any  placo
whatsoever  as  German  nationals  those  who  shall
have  been  declared  on  any  ground  to  be  French,
to  receive  all  others  in  her  territory,  and  to
conform,  as  regards  the  property  of  German
nationale  in  the  territories  indicated  in  Article  51,
with  the  provisions  of  Artiels  297  and  the  Anner
to  Section  IV  of  Part  X  (Economic  Clauses)  ol
the  present  Treaty.

Those  German  nationals  who  without  acquiring
  French  nationality  shall  receive  permission
