Independance  de  la  Pologne  et  renonce,  en  faveur
de  la  Pologne,  à  tous  droits  et  titree  sur  les  territoires
  limités  par  la  mer  Baltique,  la  frontière
Orientale  de  I’Allemagne  déterminée  comme  il  est
dit  à  Particle  27  de  la  Partie  II  (Frontières  d’Allemagne)
  du  présent  Traité,  jusqu'à  un  point  situsé
à  2  kilomètres  environ  à  IEst  de  Lorzendork,  puis
une  ligne  allant  reioindre  I’angle  aigu  due  la
limite  Nord  de  la  Haute  Silésie  forme  à  environ
3  kilomètres  Nord-Ouest  de  Simmenau,  puis  la
limite  de  la  Haute  Silésie  jusqu’  sa  rencontre
nvec  DPancienno  frontière  entre  IAllemagne  et  la
Russie,  puis  cette  frontière  jusqu’au  point  où  elle
traverse  lo  cours  du  Niemen,  ensuite  la  frontidre
Nord  de  la  Prusse  orientale,  telle  qu'’elle  est
déterminée  à  D’article  28  de  la  Partie  II  précitée.

Toutefois,  les  stipulations  du  présent  article
ne  s'appliquent  pas  aux  territoires  de  la  Prusse
Orientale  et  de  la  Ville  libre  de  Dantzig,  tels
qu'ils  sont  delimités  audit  article  28  de  la  Partie
  II  (Frontières  d’Allemagne)  et  à  ’article  100
de  la  Section  XI  (Dantzig)  de  la  présente  Partie.

Les  frontières  de  la  Pologne,  qui  ne  sont  pas
"pécifices  par  le  présont  Traité  seront  ultérieurement
  sixées  par  les  Principales  Puissances  alliées.
et  associécs.

Une  Commission  composée  de  sept  membres,
dont  cinqd  seront  nommés  par  les  Principales  Puissances
  alliées  et  associées,  un’  par  I’Allemagne
et  un  par  la  Pologne,  sera  constituée  quinze  jours
après  la  mise  en  vigueur  du  présent  Traité,  pour
fixer  sur  place  la  ligne  frontière  entre  la  Pologne
et  I'’Allemagne.

Loes  decisions  de  cette  Commission  seront  pri-"se
  à  la  majorité  des  voix  et  seront  obligatoires
pour  les  parties  intéressces.

Artiete  88.

Dans  la  partie  de  la  Haute  Silésie  comprise

dans  les  limites  ci-dessous  décrilos,  les  habitants
seront  appelés  à  désigner  par  voie  de  sulfratge
Fvkils  désirent  ötre  rattachés  à  TAllemagne  ou  à  la
Pologne:  ·

recognizes  the  complete  independence  of  Poland,
and  renounces  in  her  favour  all  rights  and  title
over  the  territory  bounded  by  the  Baltic  Soa,  tho
castern  frontier  of  Germany  as  laid  down  in  Artiche
  27  of  Part  II  (Boundaries  of  Germany)  of
the  present  Treaty  up  to  a  point  situated  about
2  kilometres  to  the  east  of  Lorzendorf,  then  u
line  to  the  acute  angle  which  the  northern  boundary
  of  Upper  Silesia  makes  about  3  kilomotres
north-west  of  Simmenau,  then  the  boundary  of
Unpper  Silesia  to  its  meeting  point  with  the  old
frontier  between  Germany  and  Russia,  then  this
frontier  to  the  point  wbere  it  crosses  the  courso
of  the  Niemen,  and  then  the  northern  frontier  ok
East  Prussia  as  laid  down  in  Article  28  ol  Part.  II
aforesaid.

The  provisions  of  this  Article  do  not,  however,
  apply  to  the  territorices  of  Eost  Prussia  and

the  Free  City  of  Danzig,  as  defined  in  Article  28

of  Part  II  (Boundaries  of  Germany)  and  in  Article
  100  of  Section  XI  (Danzig)  of  this  Part.

The  boundaries  of  Poland  not  laid  down  in
the  present  Treaty  will  be  subscquently  determined
  by  the  Principal  Allied  and  Associated
Powers.

A  Commission  consisting  of  seven  members,
five  of  whom  shall  be  nominated  by  the  Principal
Allied  and  Associated  Powers,  one  by  Germany
and  one  by  Poland,  shall  be  constituted  Bftteen
days  after  the  coming  into  force  of  the  present
Treaty  to  delimit  on  the  spot  the  frontier  lino
between  Poland  and  Germany.

The  decisions  of  tho  Commission  will  be  taken
by  a  majority  of  votes  and  shall  be  binding  upon
the  parties  concerned.

Article  88.

In  the  portion  of  Upper  Silesia  included  within
the  boundaries  described  below.  the  inhabitants
will  be  called  upon  to  indicate  by  a  vote  whether
they  wish  to  be  attached  to  Germany  or  to
Poland:
