Présent  Traité.  Si  des  contestations  venaient  à
s'lever  sur  la  nature  de  ces  droits,  elles  seraient
jugées  souverainement  par  les  tribunaux  locaux.

Arkicke  121.

Les  dispositions  des  Sections  I  et  IV  de  la
Partie  X  (Clauses  économiques)  du  présent
Traité  seront  applicables  en  ce  qui  concerne  ces
territoires,  quelle  que  soit  la  forme  de  gouvernement
  adoptée  pour  ces  territoires.

Arkicke  122.

Le  Gouvernement  exerçant  Tautorité  sur  ces
territoires  pourra  prendre  telles  dispositions  qu’'il
jugera  nécessaires,  en  ce  qui  concerne  le  rapatriement
  des  nationaux  allemands  qui  8°y  trouvent,
et  les  conditions  dans  lesquelles  les  sujets  allemands
  ’origine  curopéenne  sgeront,  ou  non,
autorisés  à  y  résider,  7  posséder,  y  faire  le  commerco
  ou  y  exercer  une  profession.

Article  123.

Les  dispositions  de  Tarticle  260  de  la  Partie  IX
(Clauses  financières)  du  présent  Traité  s'appliducront
  aux  conventions  passées  avec  des  nationoux
  allemands  pour  I’execution  ou  L’exploitation
  des  travaux  publies  dans  les  possessions
allemandes  d'’outre-mer,  ainsi  qu'’aux  sous-concessions
  ou  marchés  passés  avec  lesdits  nationaux
en  conséquence  de  ces  conventions.

Article  124.

L'Allemagne  prend  à  sa  charge,  suivant
I’évruluntion  qui  sera  présentée  par  le  Gouvernement
  français  et  approuvée  par  Ja  Commission
des  réCparations,  la  réCparation  des  dommages  subis
Dar  les  ressortissants  frangais  dans  la  colonio
du  Cameroun  ou  dans  la  zone  frontièro  du  fait  des
actes  des  uutorités  civiles  et  militaires  allemandes
ct  des  particuliers  allemands  pendant  la  période
qui  s'étend  du  1°2  janvier  1900  au  1°9  acoüt  1914.

decision  of  the  local  courts  in  any  dispute  as  to
the  nature  of  such  property  shall  be  HMbnal.

Article  121.

The  provisions  of  Section  I  and  IV  of  Part  X
(Economic  Clauses)  of  the  present  Treaty  shall
apply  in  the  case  of  these  territories  whatever
be  the  form  of  Government  adopted  for  them.

Article  122.

The  Government  exercising  authority  over
such  territories  may  make  such  provisions  as  it
thinks  fit  with  reference  to  the  repatriation  from
them  of  German  nationals  and  to  the  conditions
upon  which  German  subjects  of  European  origin
shall,  or  shall  not,  be  allowed  to  reside,  hold
property,  trade  or  exercise  a  profession  in  them.

Article  123.

The  provisions  of  Article  260  of  Part  IX
(Financial  Clauses)  of  the  present  Treaty  sball
apply  in  the  case  of  all  agreements  concludedwith
  German  nationals  for  the  construction  or
exploitation  of  public  works  in  the  German
roversen  possessions,  as  well  as  any  sub-concessions
  or  contracts  resulting  therefrom  which
may  have  been  made  to  or  with  such  nationals.

Articke  124.

Germany  bereby  undertakes  to  pay,  in  accordante
  with  the  estimate  to  be  presented  by  the
French  Governmment  and  approved  by  the  Reparation
  Commission,  reparation  for  damage  suffered
by  French  nationals  in  the  Cameroons  or  the
frontier  Zone  by  reason  of  the  acts  of  the  German
civil  and  military  authorities  and  of  German
private  individuals  during  the  period  from  January
  1,  1900,  to  August  1,  1914.
