d'’oxploilation  des  minces,  sont  ct  demeurent
acquis  au  Japon,  arce  fous  les  droils  ct  privilègos
qui  s'y  raltuchent.

Los  cäbles  sous-marins  de  I’Etat  allemand,  do
Tsinglao  à  Shanghaf  et  de  Tsinglao  à  Tchéfou,
arcc  lous  les  droits,  privilèges  et  propriölés  qui
#ratlochent,  restent  écgalement  acquis  au  Japon,
Iranes.  et  anittes  de  loutos  charges.

Article  157.

Les  droits  mobiliers  ct  immobiliers  quc  I'’Etat
allemand  possede  dans  le  territoiro  de  Kino--Pchéou,
  ainsi  quc  tous  les  droits  qu’il  pourrait,
suire  valoir  par  suite  de  travaux  ou  aménagements
  exéculés  ou  de  déponses  engagéos  par  lui,
directement  ou  indirectement,  et  concernant  co
nrerriloirc,  sont  el.  demeurent  acquis  au  Japon,
Irunes  el  quilles  de  loules  chargos.

Artiele  158.

I.  Allemagno  remettra  au  Japon,  dans  los
trois  mois  qui  suivront  la  mise  en  vigucur  du
Lréscht  Traité,  les  archivos,  rogistlres,  plans,
tilres  ct  documents  de  toute  nature  concornant
les  adminislrations  civile,  mililaire,  sinaneièro,
judicairc  ou  autfres,  du  territoire  de  Kino-Tchéou,
à  quclquo  cndroit  qu’ils  sc  trouvent.

Dans  le  mome  dlai,  I’Allemagne  notiliera  au
Japon  tous  les  iraités,  arrangements  ou  contfrats
Concernant  les  droits,  titres  ou  privilèges  visés
u  deux  articles  ci-dessus.

All  German  rights  in  tho  Tsingtao-Tsinansu
Railway,  including  its  branch  lines,  togotlur
with  ils  subsidiary  property  of  all  kinds,  stations,
  shops,  fixed  and  rolling  stock,  mincs,  plant.
and  materinal  for  the  exploitation  of  the  mires,
are  and  remain  acquired  by  Japan,  together  with
all  righis  und  privileges  attaching  thereto.

The  dGerman  State  submarino  cables  fronm
Tsingtao  to  Shanghai  and  from  Tsingtno  10
Chefoo,  with  all  the  rights,  privileges  and  propcrlies
  attaching  thereto,  arc  similarly  acquired
by  Japan,  free  and  clear  of  all  charges  and
cncumbrances.

Arkicke  157.  -
Tho  movablo  and  immovablo  property  owned
by  the  German  State.  in  the  territory  of  Kiaochow,
as  well  as  all  the  righte  which  Germany  might
claim  in  consequence  of  the  works  or  improvoements
  made  or  of  the  expenses  incurred  by  bcr.
directly  or  indirectly,  in  connection  with  this
territory,  are  and  remain  acquirod  by  Japan,  free
and  clcar  of  all  charges  and  encumbrances.

Article  153.  «

Germany  shall  hand  over  to  Japan  within
three  months  from  the  coming  into  forco  ok-  the
present  Treaty  the  archives,  rogisters,  plans,
titlo-deeds  and  documents  of  every  kind,  wherover
they  may  be,  relating  to  the  administration.
whother  civil,  military,  financial,  judicial  or
other,  of  tho  territory  of  Kiacchow.

Within  the  samo  Deriod  Germany  shalt  gire
particulars  to  Japan  of  all  treaties,  arrangements

  or  agreements  relating  to  the  rights,  title

or  privileges  reforred  to  in  the  two  preceding  Articles.
