tilio  military,  naval  and  air  clauses  which  follow.

Artiele  159.

Theo  German  military  forces  shall  be  demobilized
  and  reduccd  as  prescribed  hereinafter.

Articke  160.

(I)  By  a  date  whichi  must  not  be  later  than
Alarch  31,  1920,  tue  German  Army  must  nol
comprise  more  than  seven  divisions  of  infantr#
nnd  three  divisions  of  cavalry.

After  that  date  the  total  number  of  ellectires
in  the  Army  of  the  States  constituting  Gormanr
must  not  exceci  one  hundred  thousand  men,
including  officers  and  establishments  of  depots.
The  Army  shall  be  devoted  oclusivel)  to  the
maintenanco  okl  order  within  the  territory  and  lo
ihe  control  of  the  frontiers.

The  total  eflective  strength  of  officers,  including
  the  personnel  of  staffs,  whatover  their
composition,  must  not  oxccod  four  thousand.
