  et  des  administrations  qui  leur  sont
rattachées  ne  derra  pas  dépasser  trois  cents  ofliciers.

Article  161.

Les  services  administratils  de  la  guerrec,  dont
le  personncl  est  civil  et  ne  so  trouve  pas  compris
dans  les  eflectils  prévus  par  les  présentes  dispoitions,
  auront  ce  personnel  réduit  pour  chaque
cat  cgzorie  au  dixième  de  colui  prévu  au  budget  de
1913.

Article  162.

I#enombre  des  employés  ou  fonctionnaires  des
Irnats  allemamls,  tels  due  douaniers,  gardes
Horestiers,  gardes-cötes,  no  dépassera  pas  colui
les  employés  ou  fonctionnaires  exercçant  ces  fonclions
  en  1913.

(2)  Divisions  and  Army  Corps  hoadduariees
staffs  shall  be  organised  in  accordancc  with  Tall
No.  I  annoxed  to  this  Scetion.

The  number  and  strengths  ol  the  units  ol  in-Ianirr,
  artillerr,  engincers,  technicnl  serrices  amn
troops  laid  down  in  the  aloresaid  Table  constitute
makima  which  must  not  be  excceded.

The  following  units  may  cach  have  their  own
depot:  *-An

  Infaniry  regiment;

A  Cavalry  regiment;

A  regiment  of  Field  Artillery;
A  battalion  of  Pioncers.

(3)  Thoe  divisions  must  not  be  grouped  under

more  than  two  army  corps  headquarters  stafls.

-  The  maintenance  or  formation  of  forces  differently
  grouped  or  of  other  organisations  for  the.
command  ol  troops  or  lor  preparation  for  war  is
lorbidden.  ,  «

The  Great  Gorman  General  Stalf  and  all
similar  organisations  shall  be  dissolved  and  may
not  be  reconstituted  in  any  form.

The  officers,  or  persons  in  the  position  of  oflicers,
  in  the  Ministries  of  War  in  the  different
States  in  Germany  and  in  tihe  Administrations
altached  to  them,  must  not  exceced  three  hundred
in  number  and  are  included  in  the  maximum
strength  of  four  thousand  laid  down  in  the  third
sub-paragraph  of  paragraph  (1)  of  this  Article.

Army  administrative  services  consisting  ol
civilian  personnel  not  included  in  the  number  ol
ollectives  prescribed  br  the  present  Treaty  wil!
have  such  personnel  reduccd  in  each  class  to  onetenth
  of  that  laid  down  in  the  Budget  of  1913.

Article  162.

The  number  of  employees  or  officinls  of  the
German  States,  such  as  customs  officers,  forcst
gzuards.  and'  coastguards,  shall  not  oxceed  that  of
the  employees  or  olficials  functioning  in  these
capacities  in  1913.
