ne  pourra  öire  augmenté  due  dans  une  proportion
corrospondant  à  cello  des  augmentations  de  la
Dbobulation  depuis  1913  dans  les  localites  ou
municipalités  qui  les  emploient.

Les  employés  et  fonchtionnaires  ne  pourront
pas  etre  runis  pour  participer  à  un  erercice
mililaire.

La  réduction  des  forces  militaires  de  1’Allemagne,
  stipulde  à  l’articlc  160,  pourra  étre  graducllement
  ellectuce  de  la  manière  suirante:

Dans  les  trois  mois  qui  suivrront  la  mise  en

vizucur  du  Drsent  Traité,  la  totalité  des  effectils

derra  elre  ramende  à  200,000  hommes  et  lo
nombre  des  unies  ne  derra  pas  dépasser  le  double

LCriode  subscquente  de  trois  mois,  une  Conföérenco
d’experts  militaires  des  Principales  Puissances
alliées  ct  associcos  lixera,  pour  la  période
trimestrielle  suivante’  les  r##ductions  à  elsectuer
de  lacon  duc,  le  31  murs  1920  au  plus  tard,  la
lotalittée  des  elleclils  allemands  ne  dépasse  pas  le
chillre  masimum  de  100,000  hommes,  prévu  à
T  artielec  160.  Ces  réduckions  successives  derront
maintenir  entre  le  nombre  des  hommes  et  des
olliciers  et  entre  le  nombre  des  unités  de  diverses

The  reduction  of  the  strength  of  the  German
militaryF  forces  as  provided  for  in  Article  160  mar
be  effected  gradually  in  the  following  manner:

Wilhin  three  montlis  from  the  coming  inlo
force  of  the  present  Treaty  the  total  number  ol
oflectires  must  be  reduccd  to  200,000  and  the
number  of  unils  must  not  excoed  twicé  the  number
ol  tlhose  laid  down  ib  Article  160.

At  the  expiration  of  this  period,  and  at  the
end  ol  each  subsequent  period  of  three  months,  à
Conserenco  ol  militarr  experts  of  the  Principal
Allied  and  Associated  Powers  will  fx  the  rednetions
  to  be  made  in  ihe  ensuing  threc  months,  so
ltlat  bx  March  31,  1920,  at  the  latest  the
total  number  ol  German  ellectives  does  not  ecced
the  masimum  number  of  100,000  men  laid  down
in  Article  160.  In  thesc  successive  roductions  the
same  ratio  betwoeen  the  number  of  olüccrs  and  ol
men,  and  betwoeen  the  vrarious  kinds  of  units,  shall
be  maintained  as  is  laid  down  in  that  Article.
