·  Article  176.

A  T’expiration  du  délai  de  deux  mois,  à  dater
de  la  mise  en  vigucur  du  présent  Traité,  il  ne
ubsistera  en  Allemagne  que  lo  nombre  d'écoles
leililaires  strictement  indispensables  au  recrutement
  des  ofliciers  des  unités  autorisées.  Ces  6colos
#scront  eKclusivement.  destindes  au  recrutement  dos
oläciers  de  chadue  arme,  à  raison  d’une  cCcole
lar  arme.

Le  nombre  des  élèves  admis  à  suivre  les  cours
nesdites  ccoles  sera  strictement  proportionné  aux
#ncances  à  pourvoir  dans  les  cadres  des  ok-ficiors.
L  élèves  et  les  cadres  compteront  dans  les
cHectils  fixés  par  le  présent  Traité  (article  160,
1  alincas  2  et  3).

En  consöquence  et  dans  le  délai  ci-dessus  fixé,
lautes  academies  de  guerre  ou  instilutions  similaires
  en  Allemagne,  ainsi  duc  les  différentes
écoles  militaires  T’olliciers,  é1#ves  officiers  (Aspi-Tonken),
  cadets,  sous-officiors  ou  élèves  sousolliciers
  (Ispirantfen),  autres  duc  les  kcoles  cidessus
  Prévrues  soront  supprimes.

Article  177.

Les  éiablisschents  d’enscignement,  les  univer-Ellés,
  les  sociétés  d’anciens  militaires,  les  associatiens
  de  tir,  sportives  ou  de  tourisme  et,  d’'une
maniere  générale,  los  associations  de  toute  nature,
quel  quc  soit  läge  de  leurs  membres,  no  devront
s'  occuper  d’uncunc  question  militaire.

II  leur  sera,  notamment,  interdit  d’instruire
un  d’exeicer.  ou  de  laisser  instruire  ou  egercer,
leurs  adhérents  dans  le  mötier  ou  l’emploi  des
a#rmes  de  guerre.

Ces  sceiélés,  associalions,  établissoments
d’enscignement  et  universitées  ne  devront  avoir

Article  176.
On  the  expiration  of  #two  months  from  the

coming  into  forco  of  the  present  Trcaty  there

must  only  cxist  in  Germany  the  number  of  militarr
  schools  which  is  absolutely  indispensable  for
the  reeruitment  of  the  officers  of  the  umts  allowed.
Theso  schools  will  be  exclusively  intended  for  the
recruilment  of  oflicers  of  cach  arm,  in  tbe  probortion
  ol  one  school  por  arm.

The  number  of  students  admitted  to  attend
the  courses  ol  the  said  schools  will  be  strictly  in
pDroportion  to  the  vacancies  to  be  filled  in  the
cadres  of  officers.  Tho  students  and  the  cadres
will  be  reckonod  in  the  ellectives  fixcd  by  the  sccond
  and  third  sub-paragraphs  of  paragraph  1  of
Articlo  160  of  the  present  Treat).  6

Consequently,  and  during  the  period  izxed
above,  all  military  acadomies  or  similar  institu--lions
  in  Germany,  as  well  as  the  dillerent  military
schools  for  ollicers,  student  oflicers  ((4spiranten),
cadets,  non-commissioned  olficers  or  student  noncommissioncd
  oflicers  ((4spiranten),  other  than
the  schools  above  provided  Lor,  will  be  abolishell.

Arttelec  177.

Educalional  establishmonts,  tho  universitics,
sccicties  ol  discharged  soldiers,  shooting  or  tonring
  clubs  and,  gencrally  speaking,  associations
of  every  description,  whatever  be  the  age  of  their
members,  must  not  occupy  themselves  with  any
military  matters.  6

In  particular  they  will  be  forbidden  to  instruct
or  ederciso  their  members,  or  to  allow  them  to  be
instructed  or  exercised,  in  the  profession  or  use
of  arme.

Thesc  Scciclics,  associations,  cducational
establislments  and  univcersitics  must  havo  20  von-
