des  Principales  Puissances  alliéces  et  associées,
pour  transmettre  des  messages  relatifs  aux
questions  Tordre  naval,  militaire  ou  politique,
intéressant  I'’Allemagne  ou  les  Puissances  qui  ont
Sté  les  alliées  de  1·Allemagne  pendant  la  guerre.
Ces  stations  pourront  transmettre  des  télégrammes
  commerciaux,  mais  seulement  sous  le
contröle  desdits  Gouvernements,  qdui  fixeront  les
longueurs  Tonde  à  employer.

Pendant  le  méeme  deélai,  IAllemagne  ne  devra
pas  construire  de  stations  de  télégraphie  sans  fil
à  grande  puissance,  tant  sur  son  propre  territoire
  due  sur  celui  de  TAntriche,  de  la  Hongrie,
de  la  Bulgarie  ou  de  la  Turquie.

SECTION  m.

CLAUSES  CONCERNANT  LAERONAUTIOUE
MEITARE  ET  NAVAIE.

Article  198.

Les  forces  militaires  de  PAllemagne  ne  devront
  comporter  aucune  aviation  militaire  ni  navale.

L’Allomagnopourra,soulemontotpondant
unopåkiodonedöpassantpaslolqkoctobro1919,
entretenir  un  chissro  maximum  de  cent  hydravions
ou  hydroglisscurs,  qui  seront  esclusivement  destinés
  à  la  recherche  des  mines  sous-marines,  seront
  munis  de  l'squipement  nécessaire  à  cette  fin,
et  ne  devront  en  aucun  cas  ötre  porteurs  d’armes,
de  munitions  ou  bombes,  de  duelque  nature  que
xce  soit.

En  plus  des  moteurs  montés  sur  les  bydravions
  ou  hbydroglisseurs  ci-dessus  visés,  un  seul
moteur  de  rechange  pourra  etre  prévu  pour
chaque  moteur  de  chacun  de  ces  appareils.

Aucun  ballon  dirigeable  ne  sera  conservé.

Dower  wireless  telegraphy  stations  at  Nauen,
Hanover  and  Berlin  shall  not  be  used  for  the
transmission  of  messages  concerning  naval,  military
  or  political  questions  of  interest  to  German
or  any  State  which  has  been  allied  to  Germany
in  the  war,  without  the  assent  of  the  Governments
  of  the  Principal  Allied  and  Associated  Powers.
  These  stations  may  be  used  for  commerecial
purposes,  but  only  under  the  supervision  of  the
said  Governments,  who  will  decide  the  wavelength
  to  be  used.

During  the  same  period  Germany  shall  not
build  any  more  high-power  wireless  telegraphy
stations  in  her  own  territory  or  that  of  Austria,
Hungary,  Bulgaria  or  Turkey.

SECTTON  HI.
AlR  CLAUSES.

Article  198.

The  armed  forces  of  Germany  must  not
include  any  military  or  naval  air  forces.

Germany  may,  during  a  period  not  extending
beyond  October  1,  1919,  maintain  a  malimum
  number  of  one  hundred  seaplanes  or  flying
boats,  which  shall  be  erclusively  employed  in
searching  for  submarine  mines,  shall  be  furnishod
with  the  necessary  equipment  for  this  purpose,
and  shall  in  no  case  carry  arms,  munitions  or
bombs  of  any  nature  whatever.

In  addition  to  the  engines  installed  in  the
senplanes  or  flying  boats  above  mentioned,  one
spare  engine  may  be  provided  for  each  engine  of
each  of  these  craft.

No  dirigible  shall  be  kept.
