Comme  mode  supplémentaire  de  réparation
Partielle,  PAllemagne  s'’engage  à  faire  construire
des  naviros  de  commercc,  sur  les  chantiers  allemands,
  pour  le  compte  des  Gouvernements  alliés
ot  asscciés,  de  la  façon  suivante:

a)Dans  un  délai  de  trois  mois  à  dater  de  la
mise  en  vigueur  du  présent  Traité,  Ia  Commission
des  réparations  notiffera  au  Gouvernement  allemand
  le  montant  du  tonnage  à  mettre  en  chantier
dans  chacune  des  deux  anndes  qdui  suivront  les
trois  mois  ci-dessus  mentionnés.

5)  Dans  lo  délai  de  deux  ans  à  dater  de  la

mise  en  vigueur  du  présent  Traité,  la  Commission
des  réparations  notifiera  au  Gouvernement  allemand
  le  montant  du  tonnage  à  mettre  en  chantier
dans  chacune  des  trois  années  qui  suivront  les
deux  annces  ci-dessus  mentionn6es.

c)  Le  montant  du  tonnage  à  mettre  en  chanhior
  pour  chaqdue  année  ne  dépassera  pas  200,000
ktonncaux  de  jauge  brute.

d)  Les  spécifications  des  nayires  à  construire,
les  condilions  dans  lesquelles  As  derront  stre
construits  ou  livrös,  le  prix  par  tonneau  pour  leducl
  ils  devront  étro  portés  en  compte  par  la  Commission
  des  réparations,  et  toutes  autres  aucstions
  relativos  à  la  commande,  à  la  construction
et  à  la  livraison  des  navires  ainsi  qu'à  leur  entrée
en  compte,  seront  déterminés  par  ladite  Commission.

L'Allemagne  s'engage  à  restiluer  en  naturc  et
en  état  normal  d’entretien  aux  Puissances  alliées
et  associées,  dans  un  délal  de  deux  mois  à  dater
de  la  miso  en  vizucur  du  présent.  Traité,  conformément
  à  une  precédure  qui  sora  établio  par  la
Commission  des  réparations,  tous  les  bateaurx  ot
autres  engins  mobiles  de  navigation  Huviale  qui,
depuis  lo  Ier  ao0t  1914,  ont  passé,  à  un  titro  quelconque,
  en  sa  Dossession  ou  en  possession  de  l'un
Hio  scs  ressortissants,  et  qui  Dourront  Stre  identifiés.

5.

As  an  additional  part  of  reparation,  Germany
agrees  to  cause  merchant  ships  to  be  built  in
German  Fards  for  the  account  of  the  Allied  and
Associatod  Governments  as  follows:

(o)  Witbin  three  months  of  the  coming  into
force  of  the  present  Treaty,  the  Reparation  Commission
  will  notify  to  the  German  Government
the  amount  of  tonnage  to  be  laid  down  in  German
shipyards  in  each  of  the  two  Vears  next  succeeding
  the  threo  monthe  mentioned  above.

(5)  Within  two  Fears  of  the  coming
into  foree  of  the  present  Treaty,  the  Reparation
Commission  will  notify  to  the  German  Government
  the  amount  of  tonnage  to  be  laid  down  in
each  of  tho  three  years  following  the  two  years
menrione/l  above.  «

(c)  The  amount  of  tonnage  to  be  laid  down  in
each  Fear  shall  not  exceed  200,  000  tons,  gross
tonnage.

(d)  The  specifications  of  the  ships  to  be  built,
the  conditions  under  which  they  are  to  be  built
and  delivered,  the  price  por  ton  at  which  thoy  are
to  be  accounted  for  by  the  Reparation  Commission,
  and  all  other  questions  relating  to  the
accounting,  ordering,  building  and  dolivery  of
the  ships,  shall  be  determined  by  the  Commission.

Germany  undertakes  to  restore  in  kind  and
in  normal  condition  of  upkeecp  to  the  Allied  and
Associated  Powoers,  within  two  months  of  the
coming  into  force  of  the  present  Treaty,  in  accordance
  with  procedure  to  be  laid  down  by  the  Reparation
  Commission,  any  boats  and  other  movable
  appliances  belonging  to  inland  navigation
which  since  August  1,  1914,  have  by  any
means  whalcyer  come  into  her  posseseion  or  into
the  possession  of  her  nationals,  and  which  can
be  identified.
