Les  animaux  livrés  seront  de  santé  et  de  condition

Si  les  animaux  ainsi  livrés  ne  peuvent  pas  étre
identiliécs  comme  ayant  été  enleves  ou  salsis,  leur
valeur  sera  porlée  au  erédit  des.  obligations  de
réparations  do  I’Allemagne,  conformément  aux
stipulations  du  paragraphe  5  de  la  présente  Annexe.

Sans  attendre  due  les  déecisions  de  la  Commission
  prévue  au  Paragraphe  4  de  la  présente
Annexe  puissent  ötre  prises,  1’Allemagne  devra
continucr  à  elfectuer  à  la  Francc  les  livraisons  de
matériel  agricole,  prérues  à  Particle  III  du  renouvellement
  d’armistice  en  date  du  16  janvior
  1919.

L'Allemagne  s'engage  à  livrer,  aur  leur  demande
  respective,  aux  Puissances  signataires  du
Drésent  Traité  ci-dessous  mentionnées,  les  quan--lités
  de  charbons  ct  de  dérivés  du  charbon  ci-après
delinics.  «

§2.

L’AllomagnolivroraälaFkancosoptmillions
de  tonnes  de  charbon  par  an,  pendant  dix  ans.  En
outre,  I/Allemagne  livrera  chadue  année  à  la
France  une  qduantilé  de  charbon  égale  à  la  différenco
  entre  la  production  anmuelle  avant  la  guerre
des  mines  du  Nord  et  du  Pas-de-Calais  détruites
du  fait  de  la  guerre  ot  la  production  du  bassin
couvert  Dar  ees  mines  pendant,  D’année  envisagée.
Cette  dernière  fourniture  sera  ellectuce  pendant.
dix  ans  ct  ne  dépassera  pas  vingt  millions  de
hlonnes  par  an  pondant  les  cind  premières  années
el.  huit  millions  de  tonnes  par  an  pendant  les  cind
ulnées  suivantes.  i'

The  animals  delivered  shall  be  ef  average
health  and  condition.

To  tbe  extent  that  animals  so  delivered  cannot
  be  identilled  as  animals  taken  away  or
se  zed,  the  value  of  such  animals  shall  be  credited
against  the  reparation  obligations  of  Germany  in
accordance  with  paragraph  5  of  this  Anner.

.  Without  waiting  for  the  decisions  of  the  Commission
  referred  to  in  paragraph  4  of  this  Amner
to  be  taken,  Germany  must  continue  the  delivery
to  France  of  the  agricultural  materiel  relerred
to  in  Article  III  of  the  renewal  dated  January  16,
1919,  of  the  Armistice.

ANNEX  V.

Germany  accords  the  following  options  kor
lhe  delivery  of  coal  and  derivatives  of  coal  to  tbe
undermentioned  signatories  of  the  present
Treaty.

2.

Germany  undertakes  to  deliver  to  Franc
seven  million  tons  of  coal  per  Fear  for  ten  years
In  addition,  Germany  undertakes  to  deliver  1o
France  annually  for  a  period  not  erceeding  ten
Jears  an  amount  of  coal  equal  to  the  differenece
between  the  annual  production  before  the  war  ol
the  coal  mines  of  the  Nord  and  Pas  de  Calais,
destroyed  as  a  result  of  the  war,  and  the  production
  of  the  mines  of  the  same  arca  during  tle
years  in  qduestion:  such  delivery  not  to  erceed
twonty  million  tons  in  any  one  Fear  of  the  kirst
five  years,  and  eight  million  tons  in  any  one  year
of  the  succeeding  five  Fcars.
