c)  Les  Puissances  alliées  ot  associées  se
réservent  la  faculté  d'imposer  à  l'Allemagne
l'obligasion  de  recevoir  en  franchise  de  tous  droits
de  donanc,  à  leur  entréo  sur  le  terriloire  douanier
allemand,  les  produits  nalurels  ou  fabriqués,
originaires  ct  en  provehnanco  du  Grand-Duché  de
I.  NKembourg,  Dendant  une  Priode  de  cind  annces
à  dater  de  la  mise  en  vigueur  du  présent  Traité.

La  nalure  ct  la  duotilö  des  produits  qui
Lénölicicront  de  ce  régime  seront  notifiéos  chaque
année  au  Gouvernement  allemand.

Los  duantités  de  chaque  produit  qui  pourront
eire  ainsi  envoyées  annuellement  en  Allemagne
ne  pourront  dépasser  la  moyenne  annuelle  des
quantités  envoyés  au  cours  des  années  1911  à
1913.

Pendant  un  délai  de  six  mois  à  dater  de  la
mise  en  vigueur  du  présent  Traité,  les  taxes
imposées  par  IAllemagne  aur  importations  des
Puissances  alliéces  et  associées  ne  pourront  étre
supérieures  aux  tazes  les  plus  favorables,  qui
étaient  en  application  pour  les  importations  en
Allemagne  à  la  date  du  31  juillot  1914.

Cette  disposition  conlinucra  à  étre  appliquée
Pendant  une  scconde  Ppériode  de  trente  mois  apreès
Texpiration  des  six  premiers  mois,  oxclusivement
à  T’égard  des  produits  qui,  étant  compris  dans  la
Premiètke  catégorie,  section  A,  du  tarif  douanier
allemand  du  25  décembre  1902,  jouissaient  à  la
date  du  31  juillet  1914  de  droits  conventionnels
par  des  trailés  avec  les  Puissances  alliées  ou
associéces,  avec  addition  de  toute  espece  de  vins  et
d’huiles  végétales,  de  la  soie  artilicielle  et  de  la
laine  lavée  ou  dégraissée,  ayant  ou  non  fait  Tobjet
de  conventions  spéciales  avant  le  31  juillet  1914.

()  The  Allied  and  Associated  Powers
reserve  the  right  to  require  Germany  to  accord
freedom  from  customs  duty,  on  importation  into
German  customs  territory,  to  natural  products
and  manufactured  articles  which  both  originate
in  and  come  from  the  Grand  Duchy  of  Luxemburg,
  for  a  period  of  five  ycars  from  tho  coming
into  force  of  the  present  Treaty.

The  nature  and  amount  of  the  products  wbich
shall  enjoy  the  benelits  of  this  répime  shall  be
Ccommunicated  each  year  to  tho  German  Govornment.


The  amount  of  each  product  which  may  be
thus  sent  annually  into  Germany  shall  not  orceel
the  average  of  the  amounts  sent  annually  in  ##h#s
Jears  1911-1913.

Articke  269.

During  the  fürst  six  months  akter  the  coming
into  force  of  the  present  Treaty,  the  duties  imposcd
  by  Germany  on  imports  from  Allied  and
Associated  States  shall  not  be  higher  than  the
most  favourable  duties  which  were  apbplied  to
imports  into  Germany  on  July  31,  1914.

During  a  furthor  period  of  thirty  monthbs
akter  the  expiration  of  the  first  six  monthe,  this
Drovision  shall  continue  to  be  applied  erclusively
  with  regard  to  products  which,  being  comprised
  in  Section  A  of  the  First  Category  othe
  German  Customs  Tariff  of  December  25,
1902,  cnjoyed  at  the  above-mentioned  date
(July  81,  1914)  rates  „Conventionalised  by
treaties  with  the  Allied  and  Associated  Powers,
with  the  addition  of  all  kinds  of  wine  and  vegetable
  oils,  of  artilcial  silk  and  of  washed  or
scoured  wool,  whether  or  not  they  were  the  subject
  of  specinl  conventions  before  July  31,  1914.
