l'Allemagno  par  les  autorités  compstentes,  determinant
  ou  ráglementant  le  droit  à  une  appellation
rögionale,  pour  les  vins  ou  spirilucux  produits
dans  lo  pays  auquel  appartient  la  région,  ou  les
conditions  dans  lesquelles  Pemploi  d’une  appellation
  régionale  peut  stre  autorisc;  et  D’impor--tatiön,
  I’exportation,  ainsi  due  la  fabrication,  la
circulation,  la  vente  ou  la  mise  en  vente  des
produits  ou  marchandises  portant  des  appellations
  régionales  contrairement  aux  lois  ou
décisions  précitéces  seront  interditos  par  I’Allemagno
  et  réprimées  par  les  mesures  prescrites  à
Tarticle  qui  précede.

CIIAPITRE  IV.

TRAITENMENT  DES  RESSOITISSANTS  DIES
PUISSANCES  ALLES  ET  ASSOCIEES.

Article  276.

L'Allemagne  s'engage:

a)  à  n'imposer  auxf  ressortissants  des
Puissances  alliées  et  asseciées  en  ce  qui  concerne
Texercice  des  métiers,  prolessions,  commerces  et
industries,  aucune  exclusion  qui  ne  serait  pas
égalcment  applicable  à  tous  les  strangers  sang
exception;

5)  à  ne  soumettre  les  ressortissants  des
Puissances  alliées  et  associces  à  aucun  rglement
ou  rostrictions,  en  ce  qui  concerne  les  droits  visés
au  paragraphe  a)  qui  pourraient  porter  directement
  ou  indirectement  atteinte  aux  stipulations
du  dit  paragraphe,  ou  qui  seraient  autres  ou
plus  désavantageux  due  ceux  qui  F'appliquent
aux  Etfrangers  ressortissants  de  la  nation  la  plus
favoriséo;

c)  à  ne  soumoettre  les.  ressortissants  des
Luissancos  allices  ot  associées,  leurs  biens,  droits
m  intérets,  v  compris  les  sociétés  ou  associations
eiuns  lesquclles  ils  sont  intéressés,  à  aucune
charge,  tuxc  ou  impots  directs  ou  indirecks,  autres
ou  Ulus  elcvés  due  ceux  qui  sont  ou  pourront  étre
imDsés  à  ses  r#ssortissants  ou  à  lours  biens,
droits  ou  intérels;

defining  or  regulating  the  right  to  any  regional
appellation  in  respect  of  wine  or  spirits  produced
in  the  State  to  which  the  rogion  belongs,  or  tke
conditions  under  which  the  use  of  any  such
appellation  may  be  permitted;  and  the  importation,
  exportation,  manulacture,  distribution,  sale
or  offering  for  sale  of  products  or  articles  bearing
regional  appellations  inconsistent  with  such  law
or  order  shall  be  prohibited  by  the  German  Government
  and  repressed  by  the  measures  prescribed:
in  the  preceeding  Article.

CHAPTER  IV.

TREATMENT  OP  NATIONALS  OF  ALLIED  AND
«  Assocwmopowmks

Article  276.

Germany  undertakes:

(a)  Not  to  subject  the  nationals  of  the  Allied
and  Associated  Powers  to  any  prohibition  in
regard  to  the  exerciso  of  occupations,  Professions,
trade  and  industry,  which  shall  not  bo  eaquall?
applicable  to  all  aliens  without  exception;

(5)  Not  to  subject  the  nationals  of  the  Allied

and  Associated  Powers  in  regard  to  the  rights

referred  to  in  paragraph  (a)  to  any  regulation
or  restriction  which  might  contravene  dircctly
or  indirectly  the  stipulations  of  the  said
Daragraph,  or  which  shall  be  other  or  more
disadvantageous  than  those  which  are  applicable
to  nationale  of  the  most  favoured  nation;

(c)  Not  to  subject  the  nationals  of  the  Allied
ond  Associated  Powers,  their  property,  rights  or
interests,  including  companies  and  associations
in  which  they  are  interested,  to  any  charge,  tar
or  impost,  direct  or  indirect,  othor  or  higher  than
those  which  are  or  may  be  imposed  on  her  own
nationals  or  their  property,  rights  or  interests;
