Les  Puissances  alliées  ou  asscciées  s’engagent
entre  elles  à  ne  remettre  en  vigueur  avec  l'Allomagne
  due  les  conventions  ou  traités  qui  sont
conformes  aux  stipulations  du  présent  Traité.

La  notification  mentionnera  éventuellement
celles  des  dispositions  de  ces  conventions  ou
traités  qui,  n'étant  Das  conformes  aux  stipulations
du  présent  Traité,  ne  seront  pas  considerées
comme  remises  en  vigueur.

En  cos  de  divergence  d’avis,  Ia  Société  des
Nations  sera  appelée  à  se  prononcer.

Un  délai  de  six  mois,  qui  courra  depuis  la  mise
en  vigueur  du  présent  Traité,  est  imparti  aux
Puissances  alliées  ou  associées  pour  procéder  à  la
notification.

Les  conventions  bilatérales  et  traités  bilatéraux,
  qui  auront  fait  Tobjet  d'une  telle  notilication,
  seront  sculs  remis  en  vigueur  entre  les

Puissances  alliées  ou  associées  et  IAllemagne;

tous  les  autres  sont  et  demeureront  abrogés.

Les  regles  ci-dessus  sont  applicables  à  toutes
conventions  bilatérales  ou  traités  bilatéraux
existant  entre  toutes  les  Puissances  alliées  et
associces  signataires  du  présent  Traité  et  I’Allemagne,
  mémo  si  leedites  Puissances  allices  et
associées  n'ont  pas  été  en  stat  de  guerre  avec  elle.

Artiele  290.

L'Allemaguc  reconnait  comme  étant  et  demoeurant
  abrogés  par  lo  présent  Traité  tous  les  traités,
conventions  ou  accords  qu'ello  a  conclus  avec
I  Autriche,  la  Hongrie,  la  Bulgarie  ou  la  Turquio
depuis  lo  ler  aout  1914  jusqufaà  lá  mise  en  vigucur
du  présent  Traité.

Article  291.  «
L/Allemagno  s'ongage  à  assurer  do  plein  droit

thereof  shall  be  acknowledged  in  writing  by
Germany.  The  date  of  the  revival  shall  be  that
of  the  notification.

The  Allicd  and  Associated  Powers  undertake
among  themselves  not  to  revive  with  Germany
any  conventions  or  treatios  which  are  not  in
aceordance  with  the  terms  of  tho  present  Treaty.

The  notilication  shall  mention  any  provisions
of  the  said  conventions  and  treaties  which,  not
being  in  accordance  with  the  terms  of  the  present

„Treaty,  shall  not  be  considered  as  revived.

In  case  of  any  difference  of  opinion,  the  League
of  Nations  will  be  called  on  to  decide.

force  of  the  present  Treaty  is  allowed  to  the
Allied  and  Associated  Powors  within  which  to
make  the  notification.

Only  those  bilateral  treaties  and  conventions
which  have  been  the  subject  of  such  a  notilcation
shall  be  rovived  between  the  Allied  and  Associatod
  Powers  and  Germany;  all  the  others  are
and  shall  remain  abrogated.

Thoe  above  regulations  apply  to  all  bilateral
treaties  or  conventions  existing  between  all  tho
Allied  and  Associated  Powers  signatories  to  the
present  Treaty  and  Germany,  even  if  the  said
Alliod  and  Associated  Powers  have  not  been  in  a
state  of  war  with  Germany.

Arkicle  290.

Germany  recogniscs  tliat  all  the  treaties,  conventions
  or  agreoments  which  she  has  concluded
with  Austria,  Hungary,  Bulgaria  or  Turkey  since
August  1,  1914,  until  the  coming  into  force
of  the  present  Treaty  are  and  remain  abrogated
by  the  present  Troaty.
