  de  trois  mois  après  la  mise  en  vigueur  du
présent  Traoité  ou,  s'il  s’agit  de  biens,  droits  et
intérsts  qui  ont  été  soumis  à  des  mesures  exceptionnelles
  de  guerre,  jusqu’'a  la  restitution  conforme
  aux  dispositions  du  présent  Traité,  sera
reversé  aux  ayants  droit.

Arttecle  298.

L'Allemagne  s'engage,  en  ce  qui  concerne  les
biens,  droits  et  intérsts  restituss,  par  application
de  D’article  297,  paragraphe  a)  ou  f),  aux  ressortissants
  des  Puissances  alliéces  ou  associées,  y
compris  les  sociétés  et  associations  dans  lesquelles
ces  ressortissants  étaient  intéressés:

a)  à  placer  et  maintenir,  sauf  les  exceptions
expressément  prévuos  dans  le  présent  Traité,  les
biens,  droits  et  intéréts  des  ressortissants  des
Puissances  alliéces  ou  associées  dans  la  situation
de  droit  od  se  trouvaient,  du  fait  des  lois  en  vigueur
  avant  la  guerre,  les  biens,  droits  et  intéréts
des  ressortissants  allemande;

5)  à  ne  soumettre  les  biens,  droits  ou  intéréts
  des  ressortissants  des  Etats  alliés  ou  associés
  à  aucunes  mesures  portant  atteinte  à  la  propriété,
  qui  ne  soient  pas  appliquées  également
aux  biens,  droits  ou  intérets  de  ressortissants
sallemande  et  à  payer  des  indemnités  convenables
dans  le  cas  ou  ces  mesures  seraient  prises.

()  Germany  undertakes  to  compensate  her
nationals  in  respect  of  the  sale  or  retention  of
their  property,  rights  or  interests  in  Allied  or
Associated  States.

(  The  amount  of  all  taxes  and  imposts  upon
capital  levied  or  to  be  levied  by  Germany  on  the
Property,  rights  and  interests  of  the  nationale  of
the  Allied  or  Associated  Powers  from  November
  11,  1918,  until  three  months  from  the
coming  into  force  of  the  present  Treaty,  or,  in
the  case  of  property,  rights  or  interests  which
have  been  subiected  to  exceptional  measures  of
war,  unril  restitution  in  accordance  with  the  present
  Treaty,  shall  be  restored  to  the  owners.

Zr  Artiele  298.

Germany  undertakes,  with  regard  to  the  property,
  rights  and  interests,  including  companies
and  asscciations  in  which  they  were  intercsted,
restored  to  nationals  of  Allied  and  Asscciated
Powers  in  accordance  with  the  provisions  of  Article
  297,  paragraph  (a)  or  (f)  :

(a)  to  restore  and  maintain,  except  as  er-Pressly
  provided  in  the  present  Treaty,  11.6  proporty,
  rights  and  interests  of  the  nationals  of
Allied  or  Associated  Powers  in  the  legal  position
obtaining  in  respect  of  the  property,  rights  and
intereste  of  German  nationals  under  the  laws  in
force  before  the  war;

(5)  not  to  subiect  the  property,  rights  or  interests
  of  the  nationals  of  the  Allied  or  Associated
  Powers  to  any  measures  in  derogation  of
property  rights  which  are  not  applied  equally  to
the  property,  rights  and  intereste  of  German
nationals,  and  to  pay  adequate  compensation  in
the  event  of  the  application  of  these  mensures.
