Conseil  Tadministration  sous  réserve  de  l'approbation
  de  la  Conférence.

Le  Conscil  DTadministration  d  lira  l'un  de  ses-.

membres  comme  Président  ot  établira  son
roglement.  Il  se  réunira  aux  6boques  du’il  sixera
lui-mémo.  Une  session  spéciale  devra  etre  tenue
chaque  fois  que  dix  membres  au  moins  du  Conseil
nuront  formulé  une  demande  éerite  à  ce  suiet.

Article  394.

Un  Direöleur  sera  placé  à  la  tete  du  Bureau
international  du  Travail;  il  sera  désigné  par  le
Conseil  d’administration  de  qdui  il  recevra  ses
instructions  et  vis-à-vis  de  qui  sera  responsable
de  la  bonne  marche  du  Bureau  ainsi  due  de
Texccution  do  toutes  autres  täches  qdui  auront  pu
lui  õtre  confices.

Le  Directeur  ou  son  suppléant  assisteront  à
toutes  les  séances  du  Conseil  Tadministration.

Article  395.

Le  personnel  du  Bureau  international  du
Travail  sera  choisi  par  le  dirccteur.  Le  choix  fait
devra  porter,  dans  toute  la  mesure  compatible
avrcc  le  souci  d'’obtenir  le  meilleur  rendement,  sur
des  personnes  de  différentes  nationalités.  Un
cortain  nombre  de  ces  personnes  devront  stre  des
remmcs.

Artielo  396.

Les  fonctions  du.  Bureau  international  du
Travail  comprendront  la  centralisation  et  la
Oistribution  de  loutes  informations  concernant  la
röglementation  internationale  de  la  condition  des
travallleurs  et  du  régime  du  travail  ei,  on
Particulicr,  l'étudo  des  duestions  qu’il  est  proposé
de  soumettre  aux  discussions  de  la  Conférence  en
vue  de  la  conclusion  des  conventions  internationales,
  ainsi  que  T’exéccution  de  toutes
enquötes  spéciales  Prescrites  par  la  Conférenco.

Body  subject  to  the  approval  of  tho  Conference.

The  Governing  Body  shall,  from  time  to  timo,
elect  one  of  its  members  to  act  as  its  Chairman,
shall  regulate  its  own  procedure  and  shall  fix
its  own  times  of  meeting.  A  special  meeting
shall  be  held  if  a  written  request  to  that  eftect
is  made  by  at  least  ten  members  of  the  Govern--ing
  Body.

Arttele  394.

There  shall  be  a  Director  of  the  Internalional
Labour  Office,  who  shall  be  appointeod  by  tho
Governing  Body,  and,  subject  to  the  instructions
of  the  Governing  Body,  shall  be  responsible  for
tho  efficient  conduct  of  the  International  Labour
Ofsico  and  for  such  other  duties  as  may  be
assigned  to  him.

The  Director  or  his  deputy  shall  attend  all
meotings  of  the  Governing  Body.

Artiele  395.

The  staff  of  the  International  Labour  Office
shall  be  appointed  by  the  Director,  who  shall,  so
sar  as  is  possible  with  due  regard  to  the  elficiency
of  the  work  of  the  Olfice,  sclect  persons  of  differont.
nationalities.  A  certain  number  of  these  persons
shall  bo  women.

Article  3996.

The  functions  of  the  International  Labour
Office  shall  include  the  collection  and  distribution
of  information  on  all  subjects  relating  to  the
international  adjustment  of  conditions  ol
industrial  life  and  labour,  and  particularly  tho
examination  of  subjects  which  it  is  proposed  to
bring  before  the  Conference  with  a  view  to  tho
conclusion  of  international  conventions,  and  the
cMnduct  of  such  special  investigalions  as  may  bo
ordered  by  tho  Conference.
