Le  présent  Traité,  dont  les  textes  franęais  ot
anglais  feront  foi,  sera  ratifié.

Le  dépöt  des  ratifications  sera  effectus  à
Paris,  le  plus  töt  qu'il  scra  possible.

Les  Puissances,  dont  le  Gouvernement  a  son
siège  hors  d’Europe,  auront  la  faculté  de  se
borner  à  faire  connaltre  au  Gouvernement  de  la
République  française,  par  leur  représentant  diplomalique
  à  Paris,  que  leur  ratifcation  a  té
donnée  et,  dans  ce  cas,  elles  devront  en  transmettre
  Tinstrument  aussitöt  que  faire  se  pourra.

Un  premier  procès-verbal  de  dépôt  des  ratifications
  sera  dressé  des  due  le  Traité  aura  4t6
ratifté  par  Allemagne  d’une  part  et  par  trois
des  Principales  Puissances  alliéces  et  associées.
Tautre  part.

Des  la  date  de  ce  premier  prochs-verbal,  le
Traité  entrera  en  vigueur  entre  les  Hautes  Parties
Contractantes,  qui  l'auront  ainsi  ratifié.  Pour  le
caleul  de  tous  délais  prévus  par  le  présent  Traité
cette  date  sera  la  date  de  mise  en  vigueur.

A  tous  autres  égards  le  Traité  entrera  en
vigueur  pour  chaque  Puissance,  à  la  date  du
dépöt  de  sa  ratifscatioc.

Le  Gouvernement  français  remettra  à  toutes
les  Puissances  signataires  une  copie  cxertifiée
conforme  des  prochs-verbaux  de  dépöt  des  ratilications.

The  presenf  Treaty,  of  which  the  French  and
Englieh  texts  are  both  authentic,  shall  be  ratilicd.

The  deposit  of  ratifications  shall  be  made  at
Paris  as  soon  as  possible.

Powers  of  which  the  seat  of  the  Government
is  outside  Europe  will  be  entitled  merely  to  inlorm
the  Government  of  the  French  Republic  through
their  diplomatic  representative  at  Paris  that  their
ratification  has  been  given;  in  that  case  they
must  transmit  the  instrument  of  ratification  as
soon  as  possible.

first  procès-verbal  of  the  deposit  of  ratiflcations
  will  be  drawn  up  as  soon  as  the  Treaty
has  been  ratifled  by  Germany  on  the  one  hand,
and  by  three  of  the  Principal  Allied  and
Associated  Powers  on  the  other  hand.

From  the  date  of  this  first  procès-verbal  the
Treaty  will  come  into  force  between  the  High
Contracting  Parties  who  have  ratified  it.  For
the  determination  of  all  periods  of  time  provided
for  in  the  present  Treaty  this  date  will  be  the
date  of  the  coming  into  force  of  the  Treaty.

In  all  other  respects  the  Treaty  will  enter
into  force  for  each  Power  at  the  date  of  the
deposit  of  its  ratification.

The  French  Government  will  tranemit  to  all
the  signatory  Powers  a  certified  copy  of  the
prochs-verbaux  of  the  deposit  of  ratifications.
