L'Allemagne  s'engage  à  livrer,  sur  leur  demande
respective,  aux  Puissances  signataires  du  présent
Traité  ci-dessous  mentionnées,  les  qduantités  de
charbons  et  de  dérivés  du  charbon  ci-apres  définies.

L'Alemagne  livrera  à  la  France  sept  millions
de  tonnes  de  charbon  par  an,  pendant  dix  ans.  En
outre,  I’Allemagne  livrera  chaque  année  à  la
France  une  quantité  de  charbon  égale  à  la  différence
  entre  la  production  annuelle  avant  la  guerre
des  mines  du  Nord  et  du  Pas-de-Calais  détruites
du  fait  de  la  guerre  et  la  production  du  bassin
couvert  par  ces  mines  pendant  l’année  envisagée.
Cette  dernière  fourniture  sera  effectuce  pendant
dix  ans  et  ne  dépassera  pas  vingt  millions  de
tonnes  par  an  pendant  les  cind  premieèeres  annéCes
et  huit  millions  de  tonnes  par  an  pendent  les  cind
années  suivantes.

II  est  entendu  due  toute  diligence  sera  faite

our  la  remise  en  état  des  mines  du  Nord  et  du
as-de-Calais.

L-’Allemagne  livrera  à  la  Belgique  huit  millions
de  tonnes  de  charbon  par  an  pendant  dix  ans.

84.

L'Allemagne  livrera  à  I’Italie  les  quantités
maxima  de  charbon  ci-après:

Juillet  1919  à  juin  1920:  4  millions  ½  de  tonnes,

—  1920  —  1921:  6  millions  de  tonnes,
—  1921  —  1922:  7  millions  ½  de  tonnes,
—  1922  —  1923:  8  millions  de  tonnes,
—  1923  —  1924:  8  millions  ½  de  tonnes

et,  pendant  chacune  des  cindg  années  suivantes:
8  millions  ½  de  tonnes.

Les  deux  tiers  au  moins  des  livraisons  seront
faites  par  voie  de  terre.

L’'Allemagne  livrera  au  Luxembourg,  si  elle  en
est  requise  par  la  Commission  des  Tréparations,
une  qduantité  annuelle  de  charbon  é6gale  à  la  quantité
  amnuelle  de  charbon  allemand  consommée  par
Ile  Luxembourg  avant  la  guerre.

1.

Germany  accords  the  following  options  for
the  delivery  of  coal  and  derivatives  of  coal  to  the
undermentioned  signatories  of  the  present  Treatpy.

Germany  undertakes  to  deliver  to  France
seven  million  tons  of  coal  per  Fear  for  ten  years.
In  addition,  Germany  undertakes  to  deliver  to
France  annually  for  a  period  not  exceeding  ten
vears  an  amount  of  coal  equal  to  the  difference
between  the  annual  production  before  the  war  of
the  coal  mines  of  the  Nord  and  Pas  de  Calais,
destroyed  as  a  result  of  the  war,  and  the  production
  of  the  mines  of  the  same  area  during  the
Fears  in  question:  such  delivery  not  to  exceed
twenty  million  tons  in  any  one  Fear  of  the  first
five  years,  and  eight  million  tons  in  any  one  Fear
of  the  succeeding  five  years.

It  is  understood  that  due  diligence  will  be
exercised  in  the  restoration  of  the  destroyed
mines  in  the  Nord  and  the  Pas  de  Calais.

Germany  undertakes  to  deliver  to  Belgium
eight  million  tons  of  coal  annually  for  ten  Fears.

4.

Germany  undertakes  to  deliver  to  Iltaly  up  to
the  following  quantities  of  coal:

July  1919  to  June  10720  4½¼  willion  tons

—  1920  —  19212  6  —

—  1921  —  1922  7½  —
—  1922  —  1923  8  —
—  1923  —  1924  ....

and  each  of  the  following  five  ]  8½  —

5.

Germany  further  undertakes  to  deliver  annually
  to  Luxemburg,  if  directed  by  the  Reparation
Commission,  a  qduantity  of  coal  equal  to  the  prevar
  annual  consumption  of  German  coal  in  Luxemurg.
