titre  de  gage  ou  de  collatéral,  à  Doccasion  des
Préts  faits  par  I’Allemagne  ou  ses  ressortissants
au  Gouvernement  austro-hongrois.

6°  L'Allemagne  confirme  sa  renonciation,  prévue
  par  F’articke  XV  de  l’Armistice  du  11  novembre
  1918,  au  bénéfice  de  toutes  les  stipulations
insérées  dans  les  Traités  de  Bucarest  et  de  Brest--Litovsk
  et  Traités  complémentaires,  sans  qu’'il  scit
porté  atteinte  à  ’article  292,  Partie  X  (Clauses
é6onomiques)  du  présent  Traité.

Elle  s'engage  à  transférer  respectivement  soit
àla  Roumanie,  scit  aux  Principales  Puissances
alliées  et  associées  tous  instruments  monétaires,
espces,  valeurs  et  intruments  négociables  ou
proalnits,  dw’il  a  reçgus  en  exécution  des  Traités
susdits.

7.  Les  sommes  en  espéeces  et  instruments
monétaires,  valeurs  et  produits  quelconques  qui
doivent  étre  livrés,  paycs  ou  transférés  en  vertu
des  stipulations  du  présent  artiele,  seront  em-Ployés
  par  les  Principales  Puissances  alliées  ou
associéces  suivant  des  modalités  à  déterminer
ultérieurement  par  lesdites  Puissances.

Article  260.

Sans  qu’il  scit  porté  atteinte  à  la  renonciation,
  par  I’Allemagne,  en  vertu  du  présent  Traité,
à  des  droits  lui  appartenant  ou  appartenant  à
ses  nationaux,  la  Bommiesion  des  réparations
pourra,  dans  un  délai  d'un  an  à  compter  de  la
mise  en  vigueur  du  présent  Traité,  exi  er  que
PAllemagne  acquière  tous  droits  ou  intérsts  de
ressortissants  allemands  dans  toute  entreprise
d’utilité  publique  ou  dans  toute  concession  en
Russie,  en  Chine,  en  Autriche,  en  Hongrie,  en
Bulgarie,  en  Turquie,  dans  les  possessions  et
dépendances  de  ces  Etats,  Ou  sur  un  territoire
qui,  ayant  appartenu  à  I’Allemagne  ou  à  ses
alliés,  doit  stre  cédé  ou  administré  par  un  mandataire
  en  vertu  du  présent  Traité;  le  Gouvernement
  allemand  devra,  d’autre  part,  dans  un  délai
de  six  mois  à  compter  de  la  date  de  la  demande,
transférer  &amp;  la  Commission  des  réparations  la
totalité  de  ces  droits  et  intéréts  et  de  tous  les
droits  et  intérets  due  I’Allemagne  peut  elle-méme
posséder.

L'Allemagne  supportera  la  charge  d’indemniser
  ses  ressortissants  ainsi  dépossédés  et  la
Commission  des  réparations  portera  au  crédit
de  I'Allemagne,  à  valoir  sur  les  sommes  dues  au
titre  des  réparations,  les  sommes  correspondant
à  la  valeur  des  droits  et  intéréts  transférés,  telle
du'’elle  sera  fixzée  par  la  Commission  des  réparations.
  Le  Gouvernement  allemand,  dans  un  délai
de  six  mois  à  dater  de  la  mise  en  vigueur  du
présent  Traité,  devra  communiquer  à  la  Commission
  des  rèparations  la  liste  de  tous  les  droits
et  intéersts  en  qduestion,  qu'ils  soient  acquis,  éven-135

German  Government  or  its  nationals  in  connection
with  loans  made  by  them  to  the  Austro-Hungarian
Government.

(6)  Without  prejudice  to  Article  292  of  Part  X
(Economic  clauses)  of  the  present  Treaty,  Germany
confirms  the  renunciation  provided  for  in  ArticIe
  XV  of  the  Armistice  of  November  11,  1918,
of  any  benefit  disclosed  by  the  Treaties  of  Bucharest
and  of  Brest-Litovsk  and  by  the  treaties  supplementary
  thereto.

Germany  undertakes  to  transfer,  either  to  Roumania
  or  to  the  Principal  Allied  and  Asscciated
Powers  as  the  case  may  be,  all  monetary  instrument,
specie,  securities  and  negotiable  instruments,  or
Hohe  which  she  has  recelved  under  the  aforesaid

reaties.

(7)  The  sums  of  money  and  all  securities,  instruments
  and  goods  of  whatsoever  nature,  to  be
delivered,  paid  and  transferred  under  the  provisions
  of  this  Article,  shall  be  disposed  of  by
the  Principal  Allied  and  Asscciated  Lowers  in  a
Menner  hereafter  to  be  determined  by  those

#wers.

Article  260.

Without  prejudice  to  the  renunciation  of  any
rights  by  Germany  on  behalf  of  herself  or  of  her
nationals  in  the  other  provisions  of  the  present
Treaty,  the  Reparation  Commission  may  within
one  year  from  the  coming  into  force  of  the  present
Treaty  demand  that  the  German  Government
become  possessed  of  any  rights  and  interests  of
German  nationals  in  any  public  utility  undertaking
  or  in  any  concessioa  operating  in  Russia,
China,  Turkey,  Austria;,  Hungary  and  Bulgaria,
or  in  the  possessions  or  dependencies  of  these
States  or  in  any  territory  formerly  belonging  to
Germany  or  her  allies,  to  be  ceded  by  Germany  or
her  allies  to  any  Power  or  to  be  administered  by
a  Mandatory  under  the  present  Treaty,  and  may
require  that  the  German  Government  transfer,
within  six  months  of  the  date  of  demand,  all  such
rights  and  interests  and  any  similar  rights  and
interests  the  German  Government  may  it
Possess  to  the  Reparation  Commission.

Germany  shall  be  responsible  for  indemnifying
her  nationals  so  dispossessed,  and  the  Reparation
Commission  shall  credit  Germany,  on  account  of
sums  due  for  reparation,  with  such  sums  in  respect
of  the  value  of  the  transferred  rights  and  interests
as  may  be  assessed  by  the  Reparation  Comm  #ssion,
and  the  German  Government  shall,  within  six
months  from  the  coming  into  force  of  the  present
Treaty,  communicate  to  the  Reparation  Commission
  all  such  rights  and  interests,  whether  alread
granted,  contingent  or  not  *  gexercised,  and  shall
renounce  on  behalf  of  itself  and  its  nationals  in
