Article  266.

En  ce  qui  concerne  la  sortie,  P’Allemagne  s'engage
  à  ne  pas  soumettre  les  marchandises,  produits
naturels  ou  fabriqués  exportés  du  territoire  allemand
  vers  les  territoires  de  P’un  qduelconque  des
Etats  alliés  ou  asscciés,  à  des  drolts  ou  charges,
7  compris  les  impöts  intérieurs,  autres  ou  plus
dlevés  due  ceux  payés  pour  les  mémes  marchandises
  exportées  vers  un  autre  quelconque  desdits
Etats  ou  vers  un  pays  étranger  quelconque.

L'Allemagne  ne  maintiendra  ou  D’imposera
aucune  prohibition  ou  restriction  à  Pexportation
de  toutes  marchandises  expédiées  du  territoire
allemand  vers  Pun  quelconque  des  Etats  alliés  ou
associés  qui  ne  s’atendra  pas  également  à  l'exportation
  des  memes  marchandises,  produits  naturels
ou  fabriqués  expédiés  vers  un  autre  duelconque
desdits  Etats  ou  vers  un  autre  pays  6tranger

duelconque.
4  Article  267.

Toute  faveur,  immunité  ou  privilèege  concernant
  I’importation,  exportation  ou  le  transit  de
marchandises,  qui  serait  concédé  par  I’Allemagne
à  Tun  quelconque  des  Etats  alliés  ou  associés  ou
à  un  autre  pays  étranger  duelconque,  sera  simultanèment
  et  inconditionnellement,  sans  qu’-il  soit
besoin  de  demande  ou  de  compensation,  étendu  à
tous  les  Etats  alliés  ou  asscciés.

Article  268.

Les  dispositions  des  articles  264  à  267  du  présent
chapitre  et  de  T’article  323  de  la  Partie  XII  (Ports,
Voies  d’eau  et  Voies  ferrées)  du  présent  Traité
recevront  les  exceptions  suivantes:

a)  Pendant  une  période  de  cind  années,  à
dater  de  la  mise  en  vigueur  du  présent  Traité,  les
produits  naturels  ou  fabriqués,  originaires  et  en
Provenance  des  territoires  alsaciens  et  lorrains
réunis  à  la  France,  seront  reçus  à  leur  entrée  sur
le  territoire  douanier  allemand  en  franchise  de
tous  droits  de  douane.

Le  Gouvernement  français  fixera  chaque  année,
par  décret  notific  au  Gouvernement  allemand,  la
nature  et  la  qductité  de  produits  qui  bénéficieront
de  cette  franchise.

Les  duantités  de  chaque  produit  qui  pourront
6tre  ainsi  envo  annuellement  en  Allemagne
ne  pourront  dépasser  la  moyenne  annmuelle  des
quantités  envoyées  au  cours  des  années  1911  à
1913.

En  outre,  et  pendant  la  période  ci-dessus  mentionnée,
  le  Gouvernement  allemand  s'engage  à
laisser  librement  sortir  d'’Allemagne,  et  à  laisser
reimporter  en  Allemagne  en  franchise  de  tous
droits  de  douane  et  autres  charges,  y  compris
les  impöts  intérieurs,  les  fils,  tissus  et  autres
matieères  ou  produits  textiles  de  toute  nature  et  à
tous  états,  venus  d’Allemagne  dans  les  territoires
alsaciens  ou  lorrains  pour  y  subir  des  opérations
de  finissage  duelconques,  telles  que:  blanchiment,
teinture,  impr  ssion,  mercerisage,  gazage,  retordage
  ou  apprét.

Article  266.

In  all  that  concerns  exportation  Germany
undertakes  that  goods,  natural  products  or
manufactured  articles,  exported  from  German
territory  to  the  territories  of  any  one  of  the
Allied  or  Asscciated  States  shall  not  be  subjected
  to  other  or  higher  duties  or  charges  (including
  internal  charges)  than  those  paid  on  the
like  goods  exported  to  any  other  such  State  or
to  any  other  foreign  country.

Germany  will  not  maintain  or  impose  any
Prohibition  or  restriction  on  the  exportation  of
any  goods  sent  from  her  territoryr  to  any  one  of
the  Allied  or  Asscciated  States  which  shall  not
equally  extend  to  the  exportation  of  the  like
goods,  natural  products  or  manufactured  articles,
sent  to  any  other  such  States  or  to  any  other
foreign  country.

Article  267.

Every  favour,  immunity  or  privilege  in  regard
to  the  importation,  exportation  or  transit  of
goods  granted  by  Germany  to  any  Allied  or
Asscciated  State  or  to  any  other  foreign  country
whatever  shall  simultanecusly  and  unconditionally,
  without  request  and  without  compensation,
.  extended  to  all  the  Allied  and  Associated

tates.

Article  268.

The  provisions  of  Articles  264  to  267  inclusive
of  this  Chapter  and  of  Article  323  of  Part  XII
Kortz,  Waterwapys  and  Raill-a))  fo  the  present

eaty  are  subject  to  the  following  exceptions:

(a)  For  a  period  of  five  years  from  the  coming
  into  force  of  the  present  Treaty,  natural
or  manufactured  products  which  both  originate
in  and  come  from  the  territories  of  Alsace  and
Lorraine  reunited  to  France  shall,  on  importation
  into  German  customs  territory,  be  exempt
from  all  customs  duty.

The  French  Government  shall  fix  each  pear,
by  decree  communicated  to  the  German  Government,
  the  nature  and  amount  of  the  products
which  shall  enjoy  this  exemption.

The  amount  of  each  product  which  may  be  thus
sent  annually  into  Germany  shall  not  exceed  the

average  of  the  amounts  sent  annually  in  the  years
1911-1913.

Further,  during  the  period  above  mentioned
the  German  Government  shall  allow  the  free  ex-Port
  from  Germany,  and  the  free  re-importation
  into  Germany,  exempt  from  all  customs  duties
and  other  charges  (including  internal  charges),
of  yarns,  tissues,  and  other  textile  materials  or
textile  products  of  any  kind  and  in  any  condition,
  sent  from  Germans,  into  the  territories
of  Alsace  or  Lorraine,  to  be  subjected  there  to
any  finishing  process,  such  as  bleaching,  dyeing,
printing,  mercerisation,  gassing,  twisting  or  dressing.
