238 Allerhöchstihren Staatsminister und außerordentlichen und be- vollmächtigten Botschafter bei Ihrer Majestät der Königin des Vereinigten Königreichs von Großbritannien und Irland, und Ihre Majestät die Königin des Vereinigten Königreichs von Großbritannien und Irland: den sehr ehrenwerthen Archibald Philip Grafen von Rosebery, Allerhöchstihren Hauptstaats- sekretär für die auswärtigen Angelegenheiten, welche, nach gegenseitiger Mittheilung ihrer in guter und gehöriger Form be- fundenen Vollmachten, über folgende Artikel übereingekommen sind: Artikel 1. Das zur Zeit zwischen Preußen und anderen deutschen Staaten einerseits und Großbritannien andererseits auf Grund der in je einem abschriftlichen Exemplar anliegenden Vereinbarungen, nämlich des Vertrages vom 13. Mai 1846 nebst Protokoll vom gleichen Datum und des Zusatzvertrages vom 14. Juni 1855, in Betreff des gegenseitigen Schutzes des Urheberrechts geltende Vertragsrecht soll auch auf diejenigen Gebietstheile des Deutschen Reichs, für welche der Gegen- stand bisher mit Großbritannien ver- tragsmäßig nicht geregelt ist, mit den in der gegenwärtigen Uebereinkunft ver- einbarten Maßgaben Anwendung finden. — of State and Ambassador Extraordinary and Pleni- potentiary to Her Najesty the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and lreland, and Her Majesty the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland: the Right Honourable Archi- bald Philip Earlof Rose- bery, Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, who, after having communicated to each other their full powers, found to be in good and due form, have agreed upon the following Articles: ARTICIE I. The stipulations for the mutual protection of copyright now binding between Prussia and other German States on the one side, and Great Britain on the other side, in virtue of the Conventions whereof single copies are hereto annexed, Vviz.), the Convention of the 13% May, 1846. together with Protocol of identic date, and the Additional Convention of the 14% June, 1855, shall, so far as the same are still in force and to the extent stipulated in the present Convention, become operative likewise in those parts of the Ger- man Empire in respect to which the matter has not Fet been regu- lated by Treaty with Great Britain.
