reichende Gruͤnde dafuͤr angefuͤhrt werden. 
Artikel 4. 
Unterthanen der kontrahirenden 
Deutschen Staaten, die im Koͤnigreiche 
Siam sich aufzuhalten wuͤnschen, muͤssen 
sich auf dem Deutschen Konsulate ein- 
eichnen lassen, von welcher Einzeichnung 
—* Siamesischen Behoͤrden Abschrift mit- 
utheilen ist. So oft ein Unterthan eines 
—* kontrahirenden Deutschen Staaten 
sich in einer Sache an die Siamesischen 
Behoͤrden wenden will, hat er sein Ge- 
such oder seine Reklamation vorab dem 
Deutschen Konsularbeamten vorzulegen, 
und soll dieser die Eingabe, wenn er sie 
begruͤndet und anstaͤndig abgefaßt findet, 
befoͤrdern, anderenfalls aber den Inhalt 
entsprechend abaͤndern. 
Artikel 5. 
Unterthanen der kontrahirenden 
Demtchen Staaten, die in Siam ihren 
Wohynsitz aufschlagen wollen, dürfen 
dieses vorerst nur in der Stadt Bang- 
kok oder inverhalb eines Bezirkes thun, 
dessen Grenzen, übereinstimmend mit den 
Festsetzungen der übrigen zwischen Siam 
und den fremden Mächten geschlossenen 
Verträge, folgende sind: 
Im Norden: der Bangputsa Kanal, 
von seiner Mündung in den Tschaupja 
luß bis an die alten Mauern der Stadt 
opburi, und eine gerade Linie von dort 
bis zum Landungsplatze Pragnam am 
Fluße Passack in der Nähe der Stadt 
Sarabburi. 
Im Oslen: Eine gerade Linie vom 
Landungsplatze Pragnam bis nach dem 
Zusammenflusse des Klongkut Kanals 
mit dem Flusse Bangpakong, und dieser 
Fluß bis zu seiner Mündung. Auf dem 
Küstenstrich zwischen dem Bangpakong

Article 4. 
Subjects of the contracting Ger- 
man States wishing to reside in the 
kingdom of Siam must be registe- 
gred at the German Consulate, and 
a copy of tbis registration must be 
fürnished to the Siamese authorities. 
Wbenever a subject of one of the 
contracling German States bas to 
recur to the Siamese authorities, 
his petition or claim must be first 
submitted to the German Consular 
#oflicer, who shall forward the same, 
if it appear to him reasonable and 
conceived in proper terms, or else 
shall modify its contents. 
Article 5. 
Subjects of ihe contracting Ger- 
man States, who may wish to take 
up their residence in Siam, shall for 
the present do so only in the city 
ol Bangkok or within a district, 
the boundaries of which, in accor- 
dance with the provisions of the 
other treaties concluded between 
Siam and foreign Powers, are as 
follows: 
On the North: ihe Bangputsa 
canal from its junction with the 
Chowpya river up lo the old walls 
of the towmn of Lobpury, and a 
straight line from thence to ihe 
Pragnam landingplace near tbe town 
of Saraburi on the river Pasak. 
On the East: a straight line 
drawn from ihe Pragnam landing- 
bluce to the junction of the Klong- 
ul canal with the Bangpakong ri- 
ver; and this river from thence to
