mangelung der Familie oder den Geschäfts- 
theilhabern des Verstorbenen übergeben wer- 
den. Hat der Verstorbene auch keine Ver- 
wandte oder Geschäftstheilhaber, so soll sein 
Nachlaß in den Staaten der Hohen vertra- 
genden Theile, soweit die Gesetze des Lan- 
des es gestatten, dem Gewahrsam der respec- 
tiven Consular-Beamten übergeben werden, 
auf daß diese in üblicher Weise nach den 
Gesetzen und Gewohnheiten ihres Landes 
damit verfahren. 
Artikel 16. 
Kriegeschiffe eines ver contrahirenden Deut- 
schen Staaten dürfen in den Fluß einlaufen 
und bei Paknam Anker werfen; wollen sie 
aber nach Bangkok hinaufgehen, so müssen 
sie zuvor die Siamesischen Behörden davon 
benachrichtigen und sich mit denselben über 
den Ankerplatz verständigen. 
Artikel 17. 
Sollte ein Deutsches Schiff einen Sia- 
mesischen Hafen in Noth anlaufen, so sollen 
die Ortsbehörden demselben bei Vornahme 
ver nöthigen Ausbesserungen und Einnahme 
von frischem Proviant jedve Erleichterung 
gewähren, damit es im Stande ist, die Reise 
fortzusetzen. Sollte ein Deutsches Schiff an 
der Küste des Königreichs Siam scheitern, 
so sollen die Siamesischen Behörden des 
nächstgelegenen Platzes auf die Nachricht 
davon sofort der Mannschaft allen möglichen 
Beistand leisten, ihrem Mangel abbelfen 
und alle Maßregeln ergreifen, die zur Ret-

Article 16.

Article 17. 
Should a German vessel in distress 
enter into a Siamese port, the local autho- 
rities shall offer eyery facility for her 
being repaired and rerictualled, so that 
she ma) be able to Continue her voyage. 
Should a German vessel be wrecked on
