Article  108.

La  proportion  et  la  nature  des  charges  finandieres
  de  I’Allemagne  et  de  la  Prusse  due  la  Ville
libre  aura  à  supporter  seront  fixées  conformément
  à  F’article  254  de  la  Partie  IX  (Gauses
financières)  du  présent  Traité.

Des  stipulations  ultérieures  détermineront  toutes
autres  qduestions  pouvant  résulter  de  la  cession
du  territoire  visé  à  article  100.

SECTITLON  XII.

SLESVIG.
Article  109.

La  frontière  entre  I’Allemagne  et  le  Danemark
  sera  fixzée  conformément  aux  aspirations
des  populations.  »

A  cette  fin,  les  populations  habitant  les  territoires
  de  l'ancion  Empire  allemand  situés  au
Nord  d'’une  ligne,  orientée  Est-Ouest  (figurée  par
un  trait  bistre  sur  la  carte  Nꝰ  4  annexée  au  présent
Traite):

Partant  de  la  mer  Baltique  à  environ  13  kilometres
  Est-Nord-Est  de  Flensburg,

se  dirigeant

vers  le  Sud-Ouest  en  passant  au  Sud-Est  de:i
Sygum,  Ringsberg,  Munkbrarup,  Adelby,  Tastrup,
Jarplund,  Cversee,  et  au  Nord-Ouest  de:  Langballigholz,
  Langballig,  Bönstrup,  Rüllschau,  Weseby,
  Kleinwolstrup,  Gross-Solt,

puis,  vers  l'Ouest  en  passant  au  Sud  de  Frörup
et  au  Nord  de  Wanderup,
uis,  vers  le  Sud-Ouest  en  passant  au  Sud-Est
d’Oxlund,  Stieglund  et  Ostenau  et  au  Nord-Ouest
des  villages  sur  la  route  Wanderup-Kollund,

puis,  vers  le  Nord-Ouest  en  passant  au  Sud-Ouest
  de  Löwenstedt,  Joldelund,  Goldelund,  et
au  Nord-Est  de  Kolkerheide  et  Högel  jusqu’au
coude  du  Soholmer  Au,  à  environ  1  kilométre  à
I’Est  de  Scholm,  on  elle  rencontre  la  limite  Sud  du
cercle  (Kreis)  de  Tondern,

suivant  cette  limite  jusqu'a  la  mer  du  Nord,

Passant  au  Sud  des  illes  de  Fohr  et  Amrum  et
au  Nord  des  lles  d'’Oland  et  de  Langeness,

seront  appelées  àse  prononcer  par  un  Vote  auquel
il  sera  procédé  dans  les  conditions  suivantes:

1°  Des  la  mise  en  vigueur  du  présent  Traité,
et  dans  un  délai  qui  ne  devra  pas  dépasser  dix
jours,  les  troupes  et  les  autorités  allemandes  (y
compris  les  Oberpräsidenten,  Regierungspräsidenten,
  Landräte,  Amtsvorsteher,  Oberbürgermeister)
  devront  éGvacuer  la  zone  comprise  au  Nord
de  la  ligne  ci-dessus  fizxée.

Dans  le  méèéme  dlai,  les  conseils  des  ouvriers
et  soldats  constitués  dans  cette  zone  seront  dissous;

leurs  membres,  originaires  d’'une  autre  région  et

liabilities  of  Germany  and  of  Prussia  to  be  borne
by  the  Free  City  of  Danzig  shall  be  fixed  in  accordance
  with  Article  254  of  Part  IX  (Financial
Clauses)  of  the  present  Treaty.

All  other  questions  which  may  arise  from  the
cession  of  the  territory)  referred  to  in  Article  100
Shall  be  settled  by  further  agreements.

SECTILON  XII.

SCHLESWIG.
Article  109.

The  frontier  between  Germany  and  Denmark
shall  be  figxed  in  conformity  with  the  wishes  of
the  population.

For  this  purpose,  the  population  inhabiting
the  territories  of  the  former  German  Empire
situated  to  the  north  of  a  line,  from  East  to  West,
(shown  by  a  brown  line  on  the  map  No.  4,  annezed
to  the  present  Treaty):

leaving  the  Baltio  Sea  about  13  kilometres  eastnorth-east
  of  Flensburg,

running

south-west  so  as  to  pass  south-east  of:  Sygum.
Biagsberg.  Munkbrarup,  Adelby,  Tastrup,  Jarplund,
  Oversee,  and  north-west  of:  La  balligholz,
  Langballig,  Bönstrup,  Rüllschau,
Kieinwolstrup,  Gross-Solt,

thence  westwards  passing  south  of  Frörup  and.
north  of  Wanderup,

thence  in  a  south-westerly  direction  Passing
south-east  of  Oxlund,  Stieglund  and  Ostenau  an
north-west  of  the  villages  on  the  Wanderup-Kollund
  road,

thence  in  a  north-westerly  direction  passing
south-west  of  Löwenstedt,  Joldelund,  Goldelund,
and  north-east  of  Kolkerheide  and  Högel  to  the
bend  of  the  Soholmer  Au,  about  1  kilometre  east
of  Soholm,  where  it  meets  the  scuthern  boundary)
  of  the  Kreis  of  Tondern,

following  this  boundary  to  the  North  Sea,

Passing  south  of  the  islands  of  Fohr  and  Amrum
  and  north  of  the  islands  of  Oland  and  Langeness,


shall  be  called  upon  to  pronounce  by  a  vote
abich  will  be  taken  under  the  following  condiions:


(I.)  Within  a  period  not  exceeding  ten  days
from  the  coming  into  force  of  the  present  Treaty.
the  German  troops  and  authorities  (including  the
Oberpräsidenten,  Regierungspräsidenten,  Landräte,
  Amtsvorsteher,  Oberbürgermeister)  shall
evacuate  the  zone  lying  to  the  north  of  the  line
above  fixed.  Z

Within  the  same  period  the  Workmen’'s  and
Soldiers'  Councils  which  have  been  constituted  in
this  zone  shall  be  dissolved;  members  of  such
