Les Polonais, ressortissants allemands, ägés de
plus de 18 ans et domiciliés en Allemagne, auront
eux-méemes la faculté d’'opter pour la nationalité

LT'option du mari entrainera celle de la femme,
et celle des parents entrainera celle des enfants
ägés de moeins de 18 ans.
Toutes personnes ayant exercé le droit d'option
ci-dessus prévu auront la faculté, dans les
douze mois qui suivront, de transporter leur domicile
dans I’Etat en faveur dugquel elles auront
opté. « -«
Elles seront libres de conserver les biens immobiliers
qu'elles possedent sur le territoire de
autre Etat on elles avaient leur domicile antérieurement
à leur option. -
Elles pourront emporter leurs biens meubles
de toute nature en franchise de douane dans le
Pays Pour lequel elles auront opté et seront exemptées
à cet égard de tous droits de sortie ou taxes,
s'il y en a.
Dans le meme délai, les Polonais ressortissants
allemands se trouvant en pays étranger
auront, à moins’de dispositions contraires de la
loi Strangere et s'ils n’ont pas acquis la nationalité
Strangere, de droit d’'acquérir la nationalité polonaise,
à I’exclusion de la nationalité allemande et
en se conformant aux dispositions qui devront
Stre prises par I’Etat polonais.
Dans la partie de la Haute Silésie soumise au
Plébiscite, les dispositions du présent article n’entreront
en vigueur qu'à partir de Fattribution
definitive de oe territoire.
Article 92.
La proportion et la nature des charges financière
de UAllemagne et. de la Prusse que la Pologne
aura à supporter seront fixées conformément
à Tarticle 254 de Ia Partie IX (Clauses
financières) du présent Traité. ·
La partie de la dette qui, d’après la Commission
des Réparations prévue audit article, se rap-Porte
aux mesures prises par les Gouvernements
allemand et prussien en vue de la colonisation allemande
de la Pologne, sera exclue de la proportion
mise à la charge-de celle-ci. *
En fixant, en exécution de T’article 256 du présent
Traité, la valeur des biens et propriétés de l Empire
ou des Etats allemands passant à la Pologne en
meéme temps quetles territoires qui lui sont transférés,
la Commission des Réparations devra exclure
de cette GCvaluation les bätiments, forsts et autres
Propriétés d’Etat, dui appartenaient à T’ancien
Royaume de Pologne. Ceux-ei seront acquis à
la Pologne, francs et quittes de toutes charges.
Dans tous les territoires de FAllemagne transférés
en vertu du Présent Traité et reconnus comme
faisant définitivement partie de la Pologne, les

Poland will be entitled to opt for German nationality.
Foles who are German nationals over 18 years
of age and habitually resident in Germany will
have a similar right to opt for Polish nationality.
Option by a husband will cover his wife and
option by parents will cover their children under
18 years of age.
Persons who have exercised the above right to
opt may within the succeeding twelve months
transfer their place of residence to the State for
which they have opted.
They will be entitled to retain their immovable
property in the territory) of the other State
where they had their place of residence before
exercising the right to opt.
They may carr with them their movable
Property of every description. No export or im-Port
duties or charges may be imposed upon them
in connection with the removal of such property.
Within the same period Poles who are German
nationals and are in a foreign country will be
entitled, in the absence of any provisions to tbe
contrary in the foreign law, and if they have not
acquired the foreign nationality, to obtain Polish.

by complying with the requirements laid down by
the Polish State.
In the portion of Upper Silesia submitted to
a Plebiscite the provisions of this Article shall
only come into force as from the definitive attribution
of the territory.
Article 92.
The proportion and the nature of the financial
liabilities of Germany and Prussia which are to
be borne by Poland will be determined in accordance
with Article 254 of Part IX (Financial
Clauses) of the present Treaty).
There shall be excluded from the share of such
finaneial liabilities assumed by Poland that portion
of the debt which, according to the finding of the
Reparation Commission referred to in the abovementioned
Article, arises from measures adopted.

Treaty the value of the property#. and possessions
belonging to the German Embpire and to the
German States which pass to Poland with the
territory transferred above, the Reparation Commission

belonged to the former Kingdom of Poland;
Poland shall acquire these properties free of all
costs and charges.

accordance with the present Treaty and recognised
